Regis was a class act. RIP Regis
He made TV as far as I’m concerned. He knew the game and he never took himself seriously. Bless him and his family!
His energy is what amazed me. Never had a dead beat moment but not high strung.
I can listen to Regis talk all day when he was on air.
Yes, the key was he never took himself too seriously!

Prayers for his wife Joy and Family and Friends!
Regis, it was always a pleasure to hear that familiar voice and easygoing talk on TV. Regis will be missed and fondly remembered.
His personality is infectious. I love his smile and laugh. RIP sweet man.
We are truly blessed to have had you in our lives 🙏RIP
Amen!
So many are leaving us each week. I grit my teeth at each notice of these passing people from our life. RIP.
We Lost Naya Rivera
Benjamin (Elvis's Grandson
R.I.P. Regis. Please say hi to Don Rickles and the rest of your pals in heaven. 🙏
I loved watching Regis Philbin. Such a lovable guy.
Wow. My late grandmother always had him on with Kelly and it was like my original pasttime. Even himself hosting "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" did a whole lot of wonders for me- no one can ever top him, for all that he has accomplished in his life. There will never be another Regis. He will be missed very dearly, by all of us and our prayers are shared all over his family and friends.
The kid will be colossally missed. No one will fill the void he left behind. Rest in power Regis.
Regis sarcasm made us close to each other just a little touch of Rickles in him my condolence to his family miss you Regis r i p
Regis made me and many others smile and laugh every morning!! Regis you will be greatly missed!!❤
Rest in peace dear man. We loved you and you were a man among men.
He was one of a kind. I will miss him!! RIP
My sister said it best...My Childhood!....she was born in 84. Yes, for many Regis was our childhood.
CBS Sunday Morning is such a wonderful series. Too many more years to come. Thank you.
Yes indeed, the most wonderful show to start my Sunday mornings since 1979. I am addicted to this extraordinary show and never have missed it when I lived in CA and had to get up at 6 AM to watch this live show broadcasted from NY and now that I live in DC at 9 AM. God Bless Charles Kuralt's soul for creating such an amazing & educational show for generations to come.
@Desiree Hall, You have a good taste about that fantastic show, but not quite sure about your disappointment about DC. I love living in DC with its mild 4 seasons, plenty of rain, friendly people, numerous museums, great public transportations, short blocks to walk anywhere and surrounded by historic red brick houses wth narrow roads ending to roundabouts in this compact city. Above all constant protests and marches keep people involved instead of spotting movie stars in my unfriendly neighborhood. Don't miss CA a bit. In fact poor and rich people in DC are the same as any other cities in America or the rest of the world.
I am mad at Kelly Ripa because when Regis decided to leave the show, Kelly cut the friendship off because she got angry and thought that Regis left because of her.
Regis had to leave because he was having heath problems and could not continue doing the show anymore because it was too much for him to continue. When Regis died she didn’t make a personal statement about his death. Instead the show had to make a statement for her. Kelly, you should show Regis some respect because he gave you the biggest job of your career otherwise you would still be on a soap opera today. Kathie lee gave a personal statement about him. you can see the warmth between Regis and Kathie lee because they to continued to hang out with each other in the years after they both left the show.
Rest In Peace Regis. In this time of uncertainty, you gave everyone joy and happiness when you on TV.
None of us is perfect; including Kelly Lee. It seems unimaginable that Regis is gone. He will be missed, as the good guys always will be.
The One and Only Regis Philbin...rest well🌹🌹🌹
I always looked forward to his morning talk show. He made me laugh!!! Rest In Peace, Reege!
I love you Regis! Always made me laugh! RIP
Love you Regis. The good Lord been waiting for you. Heaven just got a straight man.
Him and David just AWESOME entertainment
Ah Regis 💔 RIP, miss you Charles ♥️
Love you Regis!
I remember when Regis was on in L.A. on KABC channel 7. His cohost was Cyndy Garvey, wife at the time of Los Angeles Dodger Steve Garvey. Regis cracked her up so often that I knew he would go on to have a national show. My condolences to his family and friends.
Thank you for sharing this. He had such an important role in so many people's live. Pivotal. If there was ever an animated character to remind me of Mr. Philbin, it would be Pascal. Thank you, Regis! RIP.
Regis was the BEST!!! Now he's with all his old pals, Joey Bishop, Rickles, Dean Martin, et al...So much amazing talent..RIP Mr. Philbin!😥😢😭🥰🙏😷
Regis we will miss you. Thanks for your sharing your humor, enthusiasm and wit with us for all those years. I loved watching you on the air. G-d speed Regis. Joy wishing you and the Philbin family my deepest condolences.
I wasn't going to watch this because I saw some of it on Sunday Morning, and was thinking.. well I watched most of it. The moment he started talking about his father in the marines and his dads favorite Christmas song, I'll be home for Christmas. I started crying, I missed that part of the show and that was my grandfathers favorite Christmas song. He was a Navy Chief. Just brought back joy without prejudices, divisiveness. I cant even imagine being away from family on christmas and when I hear that song, those lyrics.... just makes me think and brings me joy.
I was brave enough to remain close to my children. Regis, Oprah, Martha... took away worries, added friendship...made each day pretty damn nice!
We miss him dearly ... RIP .😭🙏
What A Sad Day For Regis Philbin May He Rest In Peace.
I Love His Voice
from fr John, I was a Regis ABC TV audience guest around 1995. Bobby Flay grilled shrimp for me. It was raining no NYC taxis a nice NYC businessman rode Emma my friend and I to Regis. Regis put me at ease. Eternal rest, Regis !!!!!
Good bye 👋 dear REGIS from Mexico 🇲🇽 en Paz descanse (rest in peace )
I will miss him. Love you Regis. Rest now💚
Prayers for the family and friends.
R. I. P. Regis!
This had a cameo that no one saw coming but at this point we should all expect.
Lol when I read that I already knew.
He seemed not nearly as weird as he is now - that threw me off a little.
Regis was the best . He is with the best with Don rickles brittany murphy Johnny Carson pretty much making each angel laughing so hard .
Regis Philbin will be sadly missed by all of us fans who have the opportunity to remember him for his awesomeness and I'm still heartbroken over his passing since last week but I'm not crying right now because I don't want to though
Love Regis Phibin so much here;)
I love Regis and Morris Cerullo too. Powerful old men with higher loud voice.
God bless Regis.
Larger than LIFE in a small package! Miss you Regis !! R.I.P.
He was a great icon.
Both him and Letterman were discovered by Betty White.
RIP REGIS
I remember the auditions that brought Kelly to fruition.
RIP Regis
Rip SIR❤️
I can definitely say this New Year’s Eve’s are not gonna be the same without this man so much great memories specially 2005
I miss him already.
He’s the last of an era.
Why can't there be more like him?
I remember his show in St. Louis, MO in the 1960s.
Regis was the last of the 'OG' broadcasters..a pure and total natural. The skinny blonde untalented whatshername, who never--not once--had him back on after she helped push him off the show--is proof that talent is not a requirement in today's TV.
But never mind, long after no one remembers her..Regis will be recalled as a true original. RIP Regis--a great broadcaster and, by all accounts, a truly decent 'everyman.'
Condolences to Mrs. Joy Philbin & family. Mr. Regis Philbin was a wonderful person. May he Rih. ❤ 🙏
Prayer for his family! ❤️
I will miss you Regis.
So sad he and Kelly didn't speak after the show ended. I always have wondered what happened between the two.
Funny man loved him he will be missed.
You will be missed, Regis!
🎄RIP Regis.
Now hanging with freakin Fanelli
Regis is hilarious!
#RIPRegis 📺❤️
Rest in peace Mr. Philbin.
Miss you Rig
Rip
Requiescat in pace.
Little did Regis know, that back then in 2005 or so, he sang Christmas carols with (then) a Future President Of The United States.
He featured President Trump on "Rudolph, the Red - Nosed Reindeer ", referring to him as "the Trumpster". LOL.
FYI... Regis and David Letterman were not only good friends but also had the same Heart operation.. give or take 15 yrs ago. Regis was also friendly with Donald Trump, and I just saw a short clip of them here!
Kelly and Michael... good pals for the modern mind
This was posted in the wake of the Regis Philbin appearance as a contestant on the July 24, 2020 episode of Celebrity Bucket Kickers.
Kelly Is Funny
Well he is 6ft under. Rip
I trust that Regis did NOT consider the Turnip a friend in the past few years. He was smarter than that.
Need a tissue Nancy?
Iconic? He sat in a chair and asked people unimportant questions, but hey, its a living.
The actual definition of an icon is: A person or thing regarded as a representative symbol or as worthy of veneration. So yes, iconic.
Loved regis but why was trump interviewed on him
Because they were friends.
Because they were great friends.
Can we have that Trump??
Just stop
In a better timeline Trump is dead and Regis is seeking his second term as President.
RIP Mr. Philbin, you were one of the greats
Why don't you show us how it's done. Go play in traffic at night wearing dark clothing.
Can Mandy lemaire baptize Regis Philbin I want him to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost also like him on who wants to be a millionaire
I love #RegisPhilbin, a smart conservative 🇺🇸
What a joke and a small man with no tallent and he never got any respect from his people that he was talking to all the movie 🌟 and he tried so hard to be a big man but was alyways the blunt end of the joke and I feel sorry for him and God bless this man and I hope that he is going to heaven
Lost me
Ugh trump really?
They were friends. Too bad that triggers you Sheree Snowflake.
@@TheBTG88 Evidently, it triggers you too LOL!
@@shereederrick Ouch - You've wounded me with your rapier wit! Your comebacks need work.
Never liked Regis!!!-I found him ,and his "jokes" absolutely silly!!!!Silly silly silly, and annoying...d ont get me started on how annoying Kelly is!I Lol love The Sunday show....that's about it!😥😥😥
God bless Regis.
