Thanks for your video. I am purchasing a small caravan (a teardrop design that is 2.1m high at the highest point and I am having them make provision for an awning. I thought that the XTM awnings would be ideal (either 2x2.5 or 2.5x2.5m) and then also wanted to get the XTM awning tent for it, but I was a little unsure of how (and how easily) it all fits together. You video has confirmed that this should be OK, so thankyou.😀
Good vid buddy. Always hard on the first set up. That extra little vent you called it is for a power lead for when you set up on a powered site or you have a power bank..
Great video I just bought the awning and tent so this will help a lot! Could you put some spaces between the awning and roof rack on the commodore to raise it up that end?
Thanks for the video mate. Curious have you tried just dropping the tent from the awning and letting it collapse with you stretcher etc still in there so you can drive off somewhere? Was thinking that may be an option if you can undo all the Velcro and just slide the awning part out?

You do also need the awning first which we paid $140 on special. Altogether great value, how to they do it? Cheers mate.
Thanks for the video. I have the XTM awning and one side wall but rain still gets in if there is a bit of wind. I think this awning tent will solve my problems. Have you tried it out in a strong wind and how does it handle in the wind? :) Happy camping!
I got the same one and going to use it this weekend, unfortunately my awning is kings and I don't have the sail rack you slide the tent into at the beginning.
Hey mate, i just bought this xtm tent today. I also have the Kings awning and i just checked, they do have the sail rack slide located at the very bottom of the awning. I even tried to insert the edge of the tent and it slid perfectly. Hope this helps.
Not enough detail on the finer points of installation. Was watching the vid to get an idea of the tips to help installation and ovoid problems then the vid zoomed to the finished thing leaving out step by step installation. For example pitch of the awning, finished height of poles to suit pitch of walls ect. Thanks

That’s was a plan to go from Tibooburra to Lightning ridge but unfortunately i got appendix bust in the middle of my trip and end up in hospital had an operation but your hometown still on my bucket list and i will be there sometime this year. 👍🏼

Lol what Snake no such a thing called Snake in Australia 😂.. it’s fully zipped up nothing will get in unless you want it too .. my wife can’t even get in 😅
Actually i did camp in the rain with awning tent and I don’t have any issues with the rain 🌧️.. i can adjust the high of my awning pole to be sloped down to direct which way I want water to run.

Yes it was confusing at first but after i work it out than it so simple and comfortable with plenty of room. Enjoy and many thanks 🙏

You need a custom bracket or just get it from Bunning warehouse get an L bracket and do bit of DIY

Yes that is possible but you have to move your car forward to slide an attachment off coz the slot is very tight.

Don’t go for Kings I know it’s cheaper but not that good quality, I bought a lot of stuff from Kings but not tents or swag.

how about ARB, Ironman, Kings and compare to XTM are the material same thickness
All products are similar but quality and structural slightly different

If you talking about the attachable tent.. no you can not roll into the awning coz the awning cover have minimal space.
Is it compatible with most awnings?
I would like to think so but again you much get the right size and length( example 2 mtr awning suitable for any 2 mtr tent or hub )

Your car is not high enough, when it rains you need it to drain off not on to the car
