Thank you 🙏🏾 for watching. That was my first loc extensions job so be sure your get the correct size locs and use the right size partings for the locs so you’re successful. At this point her own hair is totally locked so she cut the extensions off because the sizes didn’t match.
And I would avoid putting extensions on the edges.

I like the education that you explained on dreadlocks I got one problem with you I'm also a hair stylist. You could have made the boxes a little bit smaller gave her more fullness of her dreadlock with that extra hair. It's a lot of tricks to cover alopecia .

You’re probably correct but as you can see she bought thick locs so we had to make it look natural in size and not have small sections of her hair and big locs attached.. I appreciate your comment as always and any other advice you have is welcomed. I have a client coming in at the end of this month who requested 80 locs of 0.4 cm. I purchased some dreads, and when I got them I rinsed them with vinegar and water to make them softer. They also smell better!

She has already removed the extensions since her hair locked beautifully. The weights and tendon is no longer a threat.
Why add local extension to an already weak hair
Sometimes you have to do what the client wants. It was cut out once her hair locked and got length. To date it’s been 1 year and 2 months, she cut them off 10 months later. I posted a pic of a client with healthy hair 7 months later.

Yvette Dillard thank you for watching. I recommend the stylist do the initial twist then nothing for 6-8 weeks. No shampoo and no twist. You can clean your scalp with scalp and skin antiseptic. It can be in a spray bottle or a applicator bottle. Just moisturize daily.

It depends on how full you want it. I think between 80-100. That’s been the average on my clients who aren’t getting MicroLocs.
