      @Creator_Veeto_PAEACP Před 7 měsíci +24

      @@Greatduck777 this is true in a way you wouldn’t expect. Insects actually sense how healthy plants are and eat fermenting/dying plants because they are easier to digest. Very much like a carnivore, they eat what is most easily digestible. The evidence supporting this is that carnivores eat the stomach first because the food there has already begun to be broken down. Some animals like a cow don’t require the need for easily digestible food because of how many stomachs they have and the gut bacteria that is able to break down the complex grasses.
      TL:DR insects don’t eat healthy plants because they are too difficult to digest.

    One of my favorite strategies for the creature stage is to ally with rogue creatures and make them pack members. With their 250 hp, they are excellent frontline fighters. And they're usually decked out with all the finest social "gear." Because they travel alone, it is much easier to befriend them and then add them to your pack.
    But my favorite part is that you can take them with you to the tribal stage. If they're still alive and still pack members, they will appear in the little corral/paddock as domesticated animals! I like to send off the tribe members to hunt and/or gather and have the chief gather eggs from the paddock. The best part is that when you are attacked, by other tribes or possibly wild animals, the domesticated rogue creatures will help you defend you land. They also retain their 250 health.
    In fact, for those of you who might not be aware yet, ANY pack members that weren't your species that were still alive when you evolved will be in the paddock as domesticated animals. You can gather eggs from them as well. If they aren't rogues, their health won't be even close to those tank powerhouses.

    Btw, the thorax is the middle part, the abdomen is the big bulbous butt. Now although fire ants are venomous with stingers, some ants can expel acid to attack so the poison thing can still be considered accurate. And I have never heard of a ant that can produce electricity like an electric eel.

    I like animal facts and I see a ton of people sharing their ant loving facts, so I’ll join the discussion.
    Fire ants are crazy smart, they’ve been known to link their legs together during floods to form rafts, and they carry the babies and Queen on their raft. Nothing is more disturbing than seeing a large, floating pile of live Fire ants. Can tell you from experience, their sting hurts.
    Some ants have been known to farm Aphids. They guard the aphids from predators and in exchange the aphids produce a sugary substance that feeds the ants.
    Ants carry their dead to an ant graveyard. The ants recognize dead ants by scent, and the chemical cue that produces this scent is made by Oleic acid: a common ingredient in some cereals like Trix. Ants get very confused by Oleic acid and in one experiment, a live ant was made to smell like this chemical. This ant willingly went to the graveyard and stayed, until the scent wore off.
    Speaking of scent, most ants recognize each other from scent. Many ants have poor eyesight, which some crazy species take advantage of. One example is the large blue Caterpillar, which tricks the ants into taking care of it as brood parasite.

    About the ants and wings thing; No. Drones don't have wings. Elates have wings. Elates are the breeders that a colony sends out during mating season to propagate during nuptial flights. After mating, a drone dies, and a new queen (female elate who's been inseminated) loses her wings.
