    I've been playing the TJ Cantabile for seven years now and I am still in love with it. Now that I'm actually majoring in music in college it's time for me to get a new flute, but I highly recommend this one as kind of an advanced student flute :)

    • @Boosaidthewind
      @Boosaidthewind Před 2 lety

      @@JiJiCZcams yes! Although I must admit I haven't played mine for a few years now and it definitely needs some maintenance. Even so it still sounds okay, and I'm sure it'd be great if I got it looked at and put back into shape first 😊

    I purchased the Cantabile for College as my Haynes was beyond repair. My lessons teacher fell in LOVE with my flute to the point she purchased one herself as a back up to her Yamaha! Ive only had to send it in for "repairs" for an extremely minor adjustment and I have had it for 7 years. 😊 A great flute choice!

    I absolutely love my Trevor James Virtuoso. Out of all the flutes I tried it had the smoothest and most graceful mechanism, pure tone and a graceful feminine overall feel that really works for my style. It is particularly responsive and has a beautiful flow.

    I tried out a Trevor James today (I ended up getting it) and as soon as I played it I knew it was right for me, it felt like it was a part of me and I love it so much.

    These reviews are so satisfying, it feels like IM the one getting a new flute and trying it out. The funny thing is I'm in percussion and can only play the B flat scale on the flute. You're just so entertaining, yet informative... I LOVE IT. ❤️

    I've never tried their flutes but I heard good things about them and I did try a Trevor James head joint once. The head joint was silver with a wooden lip plate and a wooden crown ( grenadilla wood that is). I also heard good things about their Alto flutes😃❤️🎹🎼

  • @PooMonkeyMan

    I bought a TJ Cantibile III about 10 years ago and I loved it. I still do, but I didn't realise at that time that my fingers were quite acidic, which eventually ate away at the silver plating. While I don't actively play anymore, I definitely feel that I've outgrown the flute, but it was definitely a great option as a step-up flute.
    Biggest shocker is that they redesigned the joints. My model had this very distinct chiseled joint rings, but looking at this video, they switched to a much smoother ring design.

    Wow, I never knew that flutes go up that high in price. The flute that my parents bought me back in the 90s have about 12 years on it and then we bought it for $125 and I use it throughout the school. I guess it's time to upgrade. 😀 It is amazing on what I've learn from watching your channel and this is the first time that I'm on it. Thanks!

    unfortunately, flute center of New York prices tend to be a little steep in comparison to other sellers, if you are looking to by these flutes don't be alarmed by the prices found here. I would suggest doing a bit more research to find better prices as I did. (I would highly recommend the cantabile by the way, its a stunning flute)

    • @007KayElleKay
      @007KayElleKay Před 5 lety +1

      I disagree ; the difference is that most internet purchased flutes are set up in a factory in Taiwan not necessarily by flautists in your country of purchase , and thus , may not have been set up to optimise the instrument's playability . Then there is the servicing which you will usually get free for the flutes first service PLUS if you don't get on with the flute , you can't usually send it back if you've bought it on line . I too bought a Cantabile and I haven't fallen in love with it at all - so the specialist shop has agreed to replace it - and doesn't even want to charge me the difference - where on the internet are you going to get service like that ?!

      If you're looking at the AZ2, see if you can't find a second hand Altus 807 or 907. They're nearly identical in the specs, but the Altus is handmade. I had the AZ2 and moved to the 907 and the difference was, for me, astronomical. I also paid less for the Altus.

They're from Japan, but the flutes sold in the US are shipped from California so you don't have to pay duties or customs. www.ebay.com/usr/angelsflute?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2754
