When I apply the displacement node, my model becomes see through for some reason. It looks as if all its edges have been lifted by the displacement height. Any clue what might be the problem?
Hi Liam, I downloaded from the site that you showed shiny gold, and among the various textures there is also "Metalness". Where should it be connected in the "Material Chart" tab? I noticed that in other sites by downloading a material inside the folder it is possible that there are many other plots ... in doing so, however, I only go into confusion 😅 Sorry for the translation but I'm Italian and I don't know English...
Good question. I should have explained. CC0 is a public domain license. We have to separate them in our library to make sure we know what we can use in our Assets.
This came just in time as I was learning about the different utilities. So thank you

I noticed you picked between enabling displacement or bump. Would there ever be a case where both maps would be enabled?
You should have both enabled really. Often displacement maps don't have finer details that bumps include.
Thnx for the tutorial. Great stuff.
Where did you get the sofa from? I couldnt catch the name of the site you mentioned.
Not 100% sure but maybe Dimensiva
@@LiamMartinTutorials yea thats it. Thnx

I believe you can use the Generic material type for that.
Yeah, generic material will use metalness as well as other PBR maps.
CC0 Material?
