It’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand. Or survive.

Interesting that the top was removed for the test. I would have liked to see if the panels stayed in place after this crash.

Well the Wrangler got them for 2024, so I highly doubt they won't be integrated when the Gladiator gets its refresh in 2025.

Wranglers are so popular in my suburban town as family vehicles. I would expect parents to drive safer family vehicles.

For one, we need to see test ratings for every make and model year. Secondly, they're privately funded and from my understanding if manufacturers don't give autos to them they have to pay from their budget. It takes time.

They're not safe, they're not overly useful, they're not even good at their off road lineage anymore.

Because they’re fun to drive with the roof and doors off, the gladiator and wrangler still come in a manual. They’re amazing off road, look awesome and there’s a great community behind them. - you can do some google searching and find real world crashes Involving the gladiators and wrangler and you’ll see that the people inside almost always survive. Same can’t be said for the vehicles that they hit.

It seems like the rear seatbelt decelerated the dummy too quickly because it didn't extend enough. This caused a high likelihood of chest injuries and a relatively high likelihood of injuries to the neck. If you look at a better-rated vehicle, like the Nissan Frontier, the dummy can move further forward by the seatbelt (but not so far forward that the head contacts the front seat). This additional belt extension acts like a shock absorber, scrubbing off the dummy's inertia at a slower, less violent rate.
