Not sure where you're taking this opinion from, but Stevens has always been hailed as one of the greats of his time..he played for one of the top singers of a decade (Idol) and the biggest artist in the world... (Michael Jackson) just to name a couple.

He played on a great track with Michael Jackson called Dirty Diana. But his work with Billy is pretty incredible. Very inspired. Enjoy 😁

I remember more than ten years ago when Billy was hosting a music event. My mouth dropped as he sang during the intermission. I thought, Billy should get all the prizes!!

My jaw just dropped with that finger picking in Rebel Yell. What an insanely gifted guitarist. Billy sounds better than ever, no loss of octave like other rock singers who suffer vocal abuse. More talent on show here than most acts in the world today.

Prior to 2000, from 80-99 he was mentioned a lot. Not sure what happened other than the good old music isn’t so popular with the majority of the younger people.

Steve is a monster rhythm guitarist, and in my useless opinion, that is one of the best compliments you can get as a guitarist. They are the gift that keeps giving. Billy looks and sounds great, too.

I heard that Billy Idol isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I was shocked! One of the most deserving musicians of that honor.

Well Missy Elliot is plenty talented and yes hip hop does have roots in rock and roll, blues, jazz and funk so I think that it is plenty appropriate to include Missy Elliot, no need to put her, or any other musician down to build Billy Idol up. I was raised on Billy Idol Music and that's why I turned out perfect.
Steve Stevens criminally underrated. A lot of those hairspray guys of the 80's got way more credit than they deserved. However, this guy flew under the radar. He was a fuckin beast! Versatile as hell!
He had hairspray as well , many knew he was excellent and Billy .

It was always about Jake E Lee, Warren DeMartini, George Lynch, and John Sykes. Whenever Steve Stevens was bought up. It was that "oh yeah moment" I FORGOT ABOUT HIM! Him and Steve Lukather (Toto) suffered from that. They were better than all those dudes. It was their genre that didn't give that guitar hero label. Thats all I'm saying.

I recently found out he made the guitars for Juno Reactor - Pistolero.
It kind of is electric, it's an acoustic/electric so it's both.

For me Billy Idol still has one of the greatest voices in Rock & Roll. Steve Stevens is just as great on guitar. He could always bring the house down. More of them should have been made available by the music industry. I've always wondered why they seemed to have disappeared from the mainstream. What a great proof of greatness this video is.

You got to add the 70's and part of the 60s to that, but it truly ended with the 90's. Music sucked after that.
Personally don't care for most of the 60s stuff with the exception of The Doors and a few others. The 70s were pretty "meh" as well to me. It was truly the very late 70s when music started to get really, really good. From 1978 up until about 2000, the music was just excellent.
Irreplaceable is a perfect word to describe great musicians. I had a bass player named RIP ED JONES who was IRREPLACEABLE 💖
Always such a perfect, phenomenal voice. Balm for eyes and ears. I'm watching and singing this right now (12.6.2024). What a perfect performance. My still N01 singer for 42 years since I've been listening to him since I was 14. To this day, I listen to him regularly as if he had just released all those songs. Each one was a hit and was played at discos and parties. I listen to them today as on the first day with the same enthusiasm and passion. It's like it hasn't been that many years since I've been listening to them. That's why all his songs are timeless hits. Billy Idol forever in the heart of a Croatian woman.❤️🇭🇷❤️

I can’t believe how insanely good Billy’s voice is and S.S. is one of our greatest guitarists, criminally underrated.
TRUTH! Stevens has always been so underrated. His signature rivals that of EVH, Satriani, Lynch, Vai, just to name a few. Billy's voice is still going strong. Today's kids missed out on most of the good stuff, but these guys a still doing it!
And nice sound room. Sounds excellent.
