Daniel, I believe this machine had a def issue within the first few hours of operation which turned out to be a minor fix, if I understood my employer correctly. I began using it after that and have had zero problems with it. The mulching head is fantastic for shredding poison oak, scotch broom, white thorn and just about anything else. Keep in mind that while JD says "It's unique Tri- Cool design resists debris buildup and employs large coolers for superior performance in severe, high-load conditions", the operator still needs to be religious about cleaning those coolers daily, even with the reversing the fan!
