When they find out, they are overwhelmed by a sense of wonder the world beneath their feet. You should have seen the look in my ex father-in-law's (functionally illiterate, elderly Brazilian farmer) eyes after he watched a documentary on soil life and the mycelium network. There is hope. You just have to instill a sense of wonder AND urgency.

We also need to address over development. It makes me sad to see how much farmland and open space being destroyed and turned into new developments.

Anyone with a small bit of land should consider growing some of their own food, by cultivating the soil in their yard using kitchen and plant waste, and avoiding chemical/synthetic fertilizers. If you ask anyone who does this, they will all say that their home grown food is richer in flavor that what you get from the market. Just try it , it brings much joy to grow and eat your own vegies. Plenty of channels on youtube to help you get started with growing your own vegie garden.

He is one of those few religious leaders in the world who actually teaches profound and practical knowledge, spirituality and wisdom to the world. Unlike other leaders of other religions who aims to spread their respective religions, he spreads the idea of how a human (irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender or any other bias) should live his life and can make his/her life better.
No wonder he is the most authentic and practical guru in the world and thats why the whole world loves him.

So great that Sadhguru can take the lead to create a global movement. A successful movement needs to have the support from people, policy, corporation of institutes. Amazing that Trevor interviews him and spread the words! This make your show standout among many other shows!

Still though people r trying to moblize this message like Sadguru, the phase of progress is slow but I guess something is happening....
We already have a fully organicly farming state Sikkim in the part of northeast India.... People of that region always knew the dangers of using fertilizers and the whole state is now engaged in 100% organic farming....
Need to expand this rim outside of Sikkim now....

The beautiful thing about it is that with small practices such as composting (throwing our used coffee grounds, banana peels, orange peels, garlic peels, and general food waste) back into the soil in our yards (or pots of plants), we are contributing to richer soil.
Composting can be fun... and certainly the easiest way I can feel like I am doing my part without needing much education and research before I began. (Such as the info you need about plastic, how to recycle, sustainable shopping, sustainable clothing, etc etc etc)

This gentleman right here brilliantly illustrated the current reality of soil degradation that is and will continue to ravage industrialized agriculture. The human population keeps growing meaning a higher and higher demand for more and more food. Mariculture can only go so far; if we want to do something, humanity needs to transform the way we practice farming. There will be a significant challenge posed by the more conservative farming voting block, agriculture industrialists, and the average joe that theorizes about food conspiracies. HOWEVER, it is now or never people -- and I chose now!
