The green tipped tongs that are with the jars are for removing jars from a hot bath when you are canning food. The jars are VERY good for resale and quite expensive. Anytime yo get canning stuff, it is worth the time to resale it. Especially mason jars with the blue tint to them. They have been especially valuable during covid when more people are home.
you did good, I was going to post comment, you beat me to it, by 7 months!!! I have a couple dozen blue jars in all sizes produced, and about 600 jars in clear, that I can food in from time to time.

Some of the old marbles may have uranium glass in them. Turn out the lights and shine a black light on them...if you see florescent colors in the marbles, they are older (and valuable to collectors) and just plain cool to look at.
Plus, the 'cat's eye' marbles are older, and more valuable, and collectable

Those tarps that you found near the end of video. A suggestion, keep one of them in your truck. You will never know if your hauling something and it starts to rain. At least you can cover load up while you travel to your destination.

Great find on the Italian drafting table, one of the more expensive models I might add. I’m thinking you could make $500.00 off of that thing? I’m going off of its original price tag when brand new which was a couple thousand dollars when my daughter needed one for school. She is now an architect/graphic designer… and generally talented when it comes to anything involving art. I’m sure you’ll figure out it’s true value once you do some research on it. Nice score. 👍🏼😊

Part of being a prepper is to be able to barter with others for things you need. That's why all the sewing patterns, thread, and fabric. Can offer repairs, or can make new clothing items. This is a GREAT preppers unit. Everything is for self preservation.
On that thinking'' the drafting table at the beginning of this video works very well for a standard work table depending on what kind of "jig" is fascinated to it. I've helped built many a (RC airplane) wing on a drafting table growing up.
That's actually and Italian made drafting table. They are pretty pricey. About 1000 each brand new

Professional quilter here. I’m just biting my own fist as I watch you opening those fabric boxes. Fabric has almost doubled in price in the past 10 years. What used to be $6/yard can now cost $18. Those bags of “stuffing” is actually quilt batting, each one cost between $30-$60 depending on size. That box of threads probably cost about $30-$45. I’m going nuts! There is a huge amount of quilt merchandise here. Quilting is a BILLION dollar industry! Call a quilt/fabric store and talk to the owners to get an idea of true value.

The neolt thing is a drafting table from Italy- goes with the art stuff.

Can't begin to tell you how going thru this unit reminds me of what I've spent the last several yrs doing! My mother had several 'shipping containers' n I had a 10x20 storage unit for well over 15 yrs. I've gone thru it & dealt with it all and everything looked exactly like these boxes n 'coffins' as I started calling them (totes 🤣), I feel like I'm going thru them all over again! It's a trip!!🥰
The stamps you found in the coffee can are called trading stamps that you got from grocery stores with you purchase. They came with books that you would fill up with the stamps. Once you had enough 'books' you would go to a redemption center and could get whatever you wanted as long as you had enough 'books' to pay for it. My grandma collected them and I'd always go with her to trade them in for merchandise. They had everything you could think of. The Lucky Strike cigarettes came with little stamps of their own. My grandpa smoked them and he would save the 'stamps' from the package. They had a catalogue that you could order merchandise from. You would mail them the stamps and then they would mail you the item you selected.

Stephen, Time Stamp 19:55 the item that you wondered what it was used for, with the yellow handles, is to remove/handle canning jars when they are hot. I haven't seen one in about 40 years or so.

Worth a good chunk of money too
Just googled for you the heavy glass type of table that says "Neolt Italy" on his stand. This is an over 80yr old Italian company that makes machines for professional Cutting, Lamination, Folding, Welding, etc. Maybe it is kind of a Table that you can flip out and put a little machinery one for like Sewing fabrics or so.
How are you going to top this unit now?! What a way to start the new year....good for both of you!!!!!❤

The metal thing in the box with the jars is used to pick up the hot jars after they’ve been boiled for canning. The stamps in the coffee can were used to buy merchandise at the grocery store. The stamps were issued with the receipt.

Give it to baby Jebus, since he does a lot of artwork, and sometimes even the designs of your t-shirts and logos. Give it to you brother
Because you can put a light under it, it's also great for tracing patterns.
Also my mother would hide money in books she had in the house, including coloring books. When she died we had to go through all of her books and we found enough in her house to pay for her funeral and to divide between us four kids. My sister started to send some color books in things she was going to donate and thought maybe she should look in the color books first. She found several hundred dollars in the pages of those books.

Heck yeah, this has been an amazing unit!! Those knee and thumb braces are like gold to me! I have to wear them everyday due to injury and illness affects my joints. I go through them about every 3 or 4months! You both have truly blessed with this unit!!

That tong like thing in the box with the cookie sheet is a jar lifter. It’s used to lift the hot jars out of the canner.

Most likely they owners were coin roll hunting half dollars for silver & gave up on not finding silver. Personally I'd do quarters, more coins... more chances. Still no promises.

The small brass container with perforated holes is a vintage cricket box. The practice of keeping a pet cricket started in imperial China. People liked the sound they make and it was thought they brought the owner good luck. I learned about cricket boxes in the movie “The Last Emperor”.
These people were major preppers. They blew it when they didn't pay their storage fees. I hope they learned a good lesson. They'll never miss a storage payment ever again.
