Slight spoilers
The whole game (ESPECIALLY the npc dialogue to whoever you control at the time when it's not their point of view) is pretty clear cut. Someone says to do something, do it. Don't do something? Don't do it. They're not aggressive? Return the energy in kind. Or at least, for one of the best endings possible.

Shooting Nick or running with kaitlyn in her last options out of the kitchen, u get insta killed with no second wind or hints
Until dawn have some moments like thaf but u could recover from a bad choice with a qte if done correctly

MASSIVE spoilers...
It's still up in the air whether the curse The Hag was referring to was the one spread by Silas or spread by the Hacketts. It's true they're the "same", but Silas wasnt really going after folks until the Hacketts came along. The Hacketts (moreso Caleb and Chris, depending on how the run goes) were really the ones to spread it like wildfire throughout the events of TQ. The Hag basically wants you to take out the Hacketts and leave her kid outta it. Allegedly, "the white wolf" (her kid) isn't even shown amongst the living/dead update if you take out all the Hacketts (and sparing/not even interacting with her kid) and she gets pissed if you DO take out her kid, regardless on how you deal with the family. That's her trusting you to do what needed to be done and probably the most indirect way of the whole game.

Tyler said the trapdoor in Hackett's office was a sex dungeon but that's not the case. The characters say stuff to play into the theatricality of it all, especially theater kid Emma, but that doesn't mean it's always true.
