This game was created as an experiment to see if the dev could replicate the Viewfinder mechanics. It’s by KenForest (creator of Moth House and Lidar.exe). It doesn’t get quite as complex as Viewfinder, but it does remarkably well at the basics (even the camera) and has some very cool moments.
You should have kept chopping up the Moon with more and more photos. Eventually, you'd run out of memory for vertices and polygons--and that'd be one heck of an accomplishment 😉
Hey, how do you find those games? Or to be exact, how to you seperate hidden gems from usual game jam junk?
Beautiful game 😍
viewfinder but... scary ;
@@onioncube8319 probably just by playing them i imagine, in my experience its honestly hard to predict how your experience with a game is going to turn out just by looking at them.
"Woah, I did NOT just produce 9 silhouetted figures from a creepy monochromatic painting"
I chatched the reference.
@@davidhr15i didnt
I don't catched the reference
Superliminal, Liminascent and Viewfinder in one experimental videogame.
Viewfinder took so long to develop it already has games taking inspiration from it
2:23 how dare you not walk on the provided path. I bet it's unbelievably hard to clean those walls and ceiling you walked on.
It's official. If something exists, there's an horror parody of it.
Add that to the rules.
It's like Superliminal meets The Backrooms.
Superliminal already has an unsettling feeling level.
Alpha Beta Gamer dancing at the beginning to that song was hilarious 😂 (at 0:19)
I always love these perspective video games. It can be super-trippy now and then. 😁😁😁
Great to see a dark version of this mechanic
0:16 Aight, looks like I'm in a horror game. Imma head out.
*pulls handle*
Shit.
ah dude this is so fucking rad using art and pictures to defy the laws of both physics and reality
Won't take long before non-Euclidean and horror combined into one game. And here it is.
Humans tendency to copy each other can either be an amazing thing, or a horribly contrived process. Personally, I’m not sure how I feel about the current trend of viewfinder type games (and there most likely will be more), but I like the idea nonetheless.
Yeah, they shouldn't just be like "Well, I copied the mechanic so... the end." They should actually try to push the limits and do something with it besides shallow changes.
Theres already viewfinder inspired games?? Damn...
There might be dozens of them already
Monochrome decor, deadly black tarantula, 6 foot bananas, lost souls room. Seems more like a Beetlejuice museum to me.
your puns are terrible as ever. i love them
I LOVE THESE STYLE OF A GAME
This is way better then Viewfinder. By leaps and bounds. One the concept is more clean, having it inspired by the backrooms makes way more sense. Two, THE PROTAGONIST IS SILENT.
Isn’t the protagonist in viewfinder silent too?
That's subjective.
5:33 "you stole-- acquired the camera, which was lying about and could be presumed to be abandoned, making it within your rights to take it with you"
That was a nifty take on the usual intro.
Nice edit at the opening 👍
Did... hang on, did you just shif reality?!! 😱😱🤪
You should play HROT
A doomlike shoter where you re in some kind of soviet apocalipse
Very interesting. I look forward to more of these gameplays
Spooky😮
I actually have dreams like this sometimes.
Oooh, banana.
Great concept!
When you want to try a game but there's a free alternative.
Does someone know the name of the radio song in the beginning?
Hi
hello
Kinda like the Backrooms.
2:38 the rotation of the camera doesn't change, so it means you walk that checkered path with your hands after going up on it or are slided along it like on a meat hook/with your head glued to it.
.........i think he's just walking on the walls/ceiling
Again, no rotation. That means legs grew out of his sides and head.
@@AntipaladinPedigri the hallway is spiraling around him. hes just walking in a straight line at a constant orientation, remaining at the lowest point of the corridor at all times.
@@AntipaladinPedigri have you never seen a room like this? you can find stuff like this in art museums.
This kind of game is easy to make, nothing is profound about this.Shadow mapping is even more complicated and clever than this.Noobs who are using game engine will never understand how hard it is when making a fully functional game engine.
🤓
This Game is awesome
