Damn right. I can't remember what game it was but I remember when Tua was taken out and he was walking up and down the sideline and players were coming up to him telling him it wasn't him and trying to give him confidence but the look of just sadness on Tua's face was heartbeaking to see.

I'm a life long Dolphin fan. It's been rough through the years. When we first drafted Tua, I was skeptical (Also, I can't stand Alabama since I'm a Gator) I wasn't sure about his injury status, although I have always admired his abilities. With all of that being said, fast forward to now, I've never been prouder to be a dolphin fan. I love my team and the energy and positivity that Coach brings. McDaniel is a genius and has really supported Tua and has believed in him. That has translated to an amazing metamorphosis of his game as an NFL quarterback. The additions that Grier has made to support Tua is amazing to witness. We have the team, we have the leadership and we have that undefeatable spirit that could potentially be a dynasty in the making. Phins up!

Agreed! I've been a Bama fan since 1979 and Tua is by far my favorite player to ever go through Tuscaloosa. I've been a Washington fan since 1981 but the second Miami drafted Tua, Miami became my favorite AFC team. If Miami was to play Washington in the SB, I'd be SERIOUSLY torn on who to root for because of my admiration of Tua! That would be my dream SB match up!

Flo had to go even if we got a top 20 coach. Nobody good wanted to stay and play, let alone coach for him.
I think about McDaniel - a polar opposite from Shula in how he handles personell. Flores is a bit obtuse with players, just like Shula was. The difference is Shula knew when he had something and would put his ego aside and change - just like he did when he saw what Marino was. Not every coach has to be the same, or team the same, or QB's that match exact measurements. Tua has the "it" factor, the intangibles. So what if Hill or Waddle have to come back for a pass or two, that's what elite WR's are for. Tua is reading defenses, moving them with his eyes, and going through all his reads lighting fast. His ball placement is great (as his accuracy rating shows). Tua is exactly what McDaniel dialed in this offense for. It's a perfect match. And it helps that the rest of the team is pretty damn good too.

I was in the mcdaniel camp cause I recognize the kind of person he is and I think very few people really realize just how special he is... but Dabolls doing a hell of a job in NY so they got their guy too

What a strange question. Why is he so humble?? Really.. maybe cause thats just his personality, like how all of us have different personalities.
Some people are cocky & Confident, but don't show it on the outside but it drives the fire internally. Others like Reek, Steve Smith etc. Exert it openly & it helps to drive them to play even better.
I'd rather have him be who he is then putting on some fake persona, and let reek be reek, cause that's who he is. That's why players love playing for McDaniels, he let's guys be themselves instead of trying to either make them act like someone who they aren't, or reel in their personality & not be themselves.
It was his upbringing kudos to his parents for raising such a great young man
I'm from Hawaii, watched Tua since high school. All of us here are so very glad the national stage at Alabama and at Miami has not changed him. This is who he has always been. It stems from his Samoan upbringing where respect and humbleness is the expectation. Think about all the Samoan football greats that have played over the years....Jesse Sapolu, Troy Polumalu, Junior Seau...and watch their interviews...You'll find that same confident humbleness.

It's awesome how its not the defense and offense as separate units anymore. It actually looks like 1 whole team who supports each other. Tua is just an amazing leader and I have a new respect for Teddy after watching this. He is supporting Tua and I think I saw more emotion out of him in this video than I have when he was on the field. I could not be more excited right now!

I’ve been a dolphins fan for 22 years of my 30 year old life…a die hard fan at that. I remember that 1-15 year like it was yesterday. Something about this team just feel different, unlike any other dolphins team I’ve had the ability to watch. Every time I see them play it puts a big smile on my face. They get better and better every year for the last 2-4 years. This years gonna go down in the books. Glad to be here to see it happen. Keeping grinding fellas.

This whole team has such a vibe. Coach, QB, Tyreek and Waddle. Now Wilson and Mostert. I've been waiting a very long for the Fins to be a contender. I've never seen anything like this team.
The way he was getting pushed and still was the first to pick up Jeff on the failed first down tells me everything. He’s accurate we all know that, he’s a warrior who’s faced the most adversity. But above all he is a true leader, who corrals teammates who respect him in every manner. ✊🏽

For all you Phin fans out there, if you haven’t watched the full episodes of when Tua won the Elite 11, watch it asap. I’ve been a huge fan of his since then. Trent Dilfer and all the coaches were effusive in praising Tua. His mindset is the same now as it was when he was a teenager. He’s transcendent.
Watched him since he was 15 in Hawaii. Never seen another player make the crowed oohh and aweee constantly. Best player I've seen in 40 years and there was alot. Shoot the previous QB at his high school won a Heisman
