Hi Neil, I feel your pain with the British weather, I went to the local beach to capture sunset yesterday and was soaked 3 mins after arriving. I love the Aprll showers.. u mentioned this 'camera' takes stills. What do the stills look like? Are they jpeg or raw? I'm considering a flying camera for days out with the family so I can leave tripods ect at home. Thanks for the content and keeping me entertaed in my post surgical recovery.

Not knocking you personally Neil because you've made one of the best videos I've watched about the Hover X1, but I've never known a product handed out free in such numbers by the manufacturer to so many content makers.
I totally agree and I get ads for it all the time too 😂 they have clearly gone big on their marketing spend! I think it’s a good way to get a product “out there” as long as everyone is honest in their content as I have tried to be here. I will always let you know when I have received something for free to review like I have here

Thank you very much. When recording audio using the HoverAir app I just spoke directly in to my phone. I am sure it would sound better if I had a mic connected to the phone but I didn’t

Very cool Neil! How does it take pictures? And how is the stills quality?
You just need to change the setting from video to stills, then depending on the mode you are in, the HoverAir will fly away, then take a series of still images, before flying back. You can tell when it is doing this as the light flashes. I need to check again but I think it takes 3 shots in quick succession. The quality isn't amazing (as you would expect from such a small sensor) but it's not bad

Neil, I can recommend Breghaus deluge or paclite overtrousers. Great value for money and extremely light. If you are ever near Gretna then they have an outlet shop there. £35 for dry legs 😉

Thank you! I will have a look at those but the stupid irony is I have waterproof trousers, it's just that on the occasions I went out the weather was nice but then changed crazy quickly. The weather has been so bad recently in the UK. But I will definitely check those out!

It looked interesting so I looked it up, $479 at Amazon. I was surprised because it doesn't look that expensive. It's $100 more than mine and mine has a better camera and almost half an hour of flying time. Granted, mine takes a controller and is harder to learn.
Exactly that. Whether it is worth it or not will really depend on how you use it. A drone offers uses which this can't offer, but this offers things which a drone can't offer. Even though they appear similar at first glance, they are both very different tools with very different uses. That is the most important message I want people to take away from my video. It all depends on what you want and whether it is a drone or the HOVERAir which offers that to you
@@NeilRedfern I agree. I see a lot of advantages and was seriously considering adding it to my repertoire until I saw the price, but I can see advantages of this over a standard drone.
That's good - as long as people see the differences that's good. I just hope that people don't assume it is a smaller and lighter drone, because it's not that. It's an incredible selfie video camera that fits in your pocket. Thank you for watching the video 😊
