    It will take time for sure, i can feel the change for good but also its need to keep cleanliness in existing planes intact.
    Maharaja logo should have been modernised not given up along with vista.

    I travel regularly from Bangalore to Newark/New York & back.Air India is still flying Boeing 777-300ER in this sector which has ramshackle & rickety interiors.Entertainment screen doesn’t work.Appalling interiors.Air India should withdraw this aircraft immediately to save their image.

    Just back from Delhi to Vienna through Air India, sorry to say but NEVER AGAIN. The toilets were very bad, not clear, seat cover was falling in all WCs, stagnant water in basins, hand soap was diluted with water, we flagged about the toilets but the crew just closed it and put RED until we landed instead of resolving. No screen was working, we were just given false promise all the time. Crew need proper training like other TOP airlines. for Hygiene and quality of food, I would give zero. as a proud Indian, I will try again after 2 years, till then would prefer other airlines.

    Recently, an AI 777-300ER flight to NY from Delhi pretty much LOST ALL ITS AVIONICS ... the pilots did an amazing job landing it safely in the nick of time. But preliminary investigations say there was practically ZERO MAINTENANCE on their entire fleet.

      Nothing wrong to discuss about real concern to an CEO.. Every corner from AI is concerned by the consumers. If need a change open talk, acceptance, be on fact side is very much important.. It's not really necessary to ask questions where Interviewees get comfortable. Intension is Improvement and Change since they are not operating for free of cost. Let's try to come out of Indian typical mindset

    When will AI replace the current fleet ? They are basically just flying bucket of bolts ... almost nothing functional in these air-crafts. If customer facing facilities are so abysmal, scary to think what's the state of the non-customer facing stuff .... engine, hydraulics, avionics etc. I would love to be proud of our own home-grown airlines .... but AI certainly does not make it easy to love it.

  • @sourabh7137
    @sourabh7137 Před 9 měsíci +1

    This reporter is soo lame. She is asking the same questions she asked in the previous interviews. This is like the 3rd or 4th time to repeat the questions. Why not ask about how many options the airline has on order other than the firm 470 orders. Why not ask about why the new leased wide body and narrow body aircrafts are not being painted in the new livery?
    I guess these reporters don't have much work that is why they set up these interviews to ask the same lame questions instead of getting new information by asking different questions.

    • @RajDas-ob4mp
      @RajDas-ob4mp Před 9 měsíci

      You have a big mouth critiquing her. Yet don’t seem to HAVE common sense. The leased aircrafts are already flying. THEY ONLY revealed the new. Livery few months ago. The leased planes were flying before that.They will not paint these leased planes in the new colors. The first plane with the new livery will be a brand new plane they. Bought not leased. It will be the A 350-900. And the B 737-MAX FOR AI EXPRESS.

    • @sourabh7137
      @sourabh7137 Před 9 měsíci

      @@RajDas-ob4mp Well if you had COMMON SENSE then you would have known that airlines don't BUY aircrafts, they LEASE THEM. So majority of 470 aircrafts ordered by Air India will be on leaseback. Secondly, you mentioned only the new planes will have the new livery is also wrong, because VT-ATJ which is a former Air Asia India A320Neo has already been painted in the new Air India Express livery which is also on lease. So your logic that these are leased planes that's why they do not have the new livery is also stupid. Thirdly, i was talking about why the new leased wide bodies inducted do not have the new livery, not the ones that were inducted before the new livery reveal.

    • @RajDas-ob4mp
      @RajDas-ob4mp Před 9 měsíci

      @@sourabh7137 feel sorry for you, trying to sound intelligent. The air Asia 320 was painted after , They RECEIVED the new MAX. YES all the major airlines in the world do buy lease back! Let me educate you why. It’s all about money. They lease back their own planes , because a leased plane is a TAX write off.. THEY claim the lease payments as expenses. Even the 747 were the same now on sale by AI.As far as the
      Leased 777 from delta , Singapore, ehtihad , is just for 2-4 years till they get more wide body planes. And likeI I said they will not paint a old
      Plane they got before the livery was revealed . And will not change them either as they have to refurbish their own planes first .many will be sold.as they are too old.TATAs is a very big conglomerate , that is a very successful company , they have the expertise and know what they are doing with the millions of $$ they are spending.I am sure they don’t need advice for someone who maybe flew a few times and thinks he is a expert on aviation.I hope the pakoras are selling well.

    Biggest mistake by Mr Campbell is not retaining Air India legacy iconic tail logo for the new plane. A modern version of the same should have been taken instead of new logo which mainly fits for a low cost airline .

    • @sourabh7137
      @sourabh7137 Před 9 měsíci +3

      How do you know what he is doing is a mistake? how many years of aviation experience do you have exactly to question someone who has an extensive background in the aviation?

    • @RajDas-ob4mp
      @RajDas-ob4mp Před 9 měsíci +1

      First of all he has years of experience in the aviation field. Secondly he does not make the decisions. It belongs to the TATAs who make the final, decision. Secondly , it’s their decision,their $millions not yours. They need a new look.as this is the new reborn AIR INDIA. The old livery was a government run airline. It is associated with a airline which had a very bad reputation. Late ,.poor service rude staff.dirty planes etc. when you buy a old house you , fix it paint it , fix the inside ,plumbing ,electrical .etc etc..yiu upgrade the house .it all takes time.

      @@meflyhi Oh Bhai, sorry If I was rude, as an AvGeek myself, aap se bhaath karke acha laga. Here is my point of view: 1) Pichle saalo sai, as you mentioned, Air India's operations have never been so great but they are constantly trying to develop it. 2) In terms of food they are responsible to hire an Airline Catering Company whose track record has been exceptional and to make sure their expected quality standards doesn't go down. 3) Fleet....they will replace older ones with newer ones gradually. Aap ke paas toh already 15 years of experience hai, to aapko ye sab pata hoga. But yes ultimately it depends on Airline how well will they utilise resources. Ye current transformation jo Air India mai ho raha hai, lagta hai they will do it seriously this time. Mai Air India me kaam to nahi karta, but I want to debate on these aviation topics. Agar aap ko kuch isme sahi nahi laga toh please do point it out. Sorry for such a lengthy message.
