Its like shizukiri said, the guy is a coward. He probably was just afraid of resist cause he know she would fight him and was scared of that, so he just give up and let her grab it.
Now he really need to overcome his fears if he want to pass this exam

Peltrola arrives and the bloodbath begins. 14:26 - In the manga, D had a short scene where he tried to backstab them to steal the key, but Shion was too alert and blocked the attack and then D retreated to recruit allies, but was chased by Hisui on the way and Angel saved him by bringing him into the car (which is why they’re in it and was probably cut for time.) 17:00 - Now you see how she tanked the truck last episode. 20:16 - Renren said earlier that Shippo went to train after Pink’s JFR threw a car at them. They probably would’ve been able to take the key back if they had more time.

So the part were the subtitles included the "Ore" and "Boku" part is because it's almost impossible to translate the context that sentence carried.
So in Japanese (and some other languages) there's a pletora of words for the pronouns "I/ me". Both ore and boku are male pronouns, the difference is more in formality and context.
Boku is percieved to be a more humble way to refer to oneself, therefore also seen as more polite, you'd use it when talking with people that you consider above you in whatever way or capacity or with strangers/ people you haven't built enough trust with. Due to this young boys will almost always use boku (because it's also the first one adults teach them so they are polite when talking to people) and due to this boku also carries an air of "youth" in it, so when used in more informal contexts it can be taken as that you see/ consider yourself "young", but some people may perceive it as childish too.
Ore is perceived to be a more confident way of refering to oneself, which is why in formal contexts could be seen as rude too and why in those cases boku is favored. It is usually used by young adults and older, specially in informal contexts like with friends or family. Ore also carries a sense that see yourself as an "adult" due to the fact that at some point in their adolescense young boys tend to transition from using boku to ore, meaning they see themselves as "grown up", as more "equal".
With this said Hibiki tends to use boku when talking, while D uses ore. And because of Hibiki's personality he would absolutely never use ore when talking to someone ranked higher than him (like here when DHibiki was talking to Aizome, the blue junior first class). D being the spunky, gutsy individual he is would probably have no problem tho. So that's why he corrected himself from ore to boku.

I did like that Ranmaru (the short trainee with afro, Koguma is his surname) went along with DHibiki when he discovered he's a Duster. The poor man must have felt a gut wrenching amount of betrayal after his best friend since forever stabbed him in the back like that. So it makes sense that guided by those extreme negative emotions of the moment he saw a monster telling him "let's team up and fuck those assholes" and he went "you know what? Hell yeah".
It may not be the healthiest or smartest choice and he may regret it in the future, but it makes sense. Revenge, it is the plot of a ton of "pact with a malignant entity" type stories. Hell, people have murdered for less too throughout history, no need to go to fictional stuff lol

First of all, yeah, when i was reading this i got like "did she SERIOUSLY just open his hand and simply took the key?"😂😂
Also, Peltrola getting introduced in the story was like a turning point for me bc it shows how not all the dusters are "victims" of the rangers, and how not all people in the ranger force are garbage (the dude Peltrola bodied for example). This is why in this story i root for a certain group of characters (aside from best girl Hisui, i won't tell you who the rest are tho lol), and not to a certain faction.
