When it comes to Golf, you're going to be hard pushed to find a more special event than attending an Open Championship at the home of golf, St. Andrews. Further adding to that, to witness the 150th edition of the Open Championship on a glorious summer's day in Scotland was one of those truly bucket list items ticked off. The Open Championship is Golf's oldest tournament, first being played in 1860 at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. The first Open to be held at St. Andrews was in 1873.
In this video, I showcase to you what it is like to attend an Open Championship, with it's unique yellow scoreboards, enormous tournament village and world-class field as well as give you an insight as to why St. Andrews is a must-visit for any golfing fan even when the town isn't hosting a tournament.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to comment, like and subscribe as I tell the story of our world through sport & adventure.
