Painting Non Metallic Necrons | Warhammer 40k | Skorpekh Lord

- My Indomitus Skoprpekh Lord has been sitting assembled and primed since the release of 9th edition, but seeing the new Necron combat patrol box reminded me that I still have him and a whole army of Necrons unpainted. Not exactly a big dent in my backlog, but every little bit counts :D
Since he is all metal I thought I will do a little exercise in bronze and steel non metallic metal and add a strong green glow effect from his weapons on the whole miniature.
First I painted a sketch for all the NNM with AK interactive colors and later I switched to the airbrush to smooth everything out, add more tones to the armor and to create the glow effect. Finally I finished with the brush, fixing some mistakes and adding details and edge highlights to the OSL.

Hey all! I hope you guys enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed painting him. Let me know if you have any questions about the process!
You're a madman for taking on a necron with NMM. Great work.
It was a great opportunity to practice NMM and I couldn't resist :D
@@ph3lansminiatures I just tried my first proper NMM a couple of evenings go. Proud hobby moment.
@@shankley_has_a_brush Nice, I hope you follow it up with many more :)

The initial base coat for the bronze was some black mixed in with the Hull Red to darken it down, if I remember correctly.
Great work, really good looking NMM.
I do miss your narration though.
I wanted to see if people like this style more. But it's good to hear that some people like listening to me waffling on :D
@@ph3lansminiatures I go out of my way to find narrated videos, which is harder than you expect in some spheres (like scale modeling).
As most of what I watch is on in the background and then just hearing music doesn't really help, hehe.
Impresive!
I’m painting one of these for a competition at the end of the month the timing couldn’t have been better! Thank you so much for this video!
Glad to hear it was helpful :) Good luck for the competition!
My oh my, this is awesome!
I'll use this blade painting technique on mine, for sure! 🤘🤓
Look cool.
This is super amazing! Great work. I really enjoyed watching it and am about to do a Technomancer in NMM and this vid was for sure educational and inspirational.
Uhm..... if not asked to much, could you write the AK paint codes into the description?
Edit: I think it is asked to much. I will write down the colors in the next days and post them here.
Awesome to hear that you enjoyed it 😊 Unfortunately I am away from my setup for the holidays, so I won't be able to check the paints any time soon. I'll really appreciate it if you manage to write them down, though. Maybe it will help others as well 🤔
Awesome
