Drop into the Sunspot bar on the top deck of the centre .A countryman of yours does great entertainment Tuesdays and Sundays. His name is Michael but goes by the name of Jinxy.
Great atmosphere there Kevin, very lively. I had heard that the bars are in shopping centres….. different to Tenerife and Lanzarote…Seems popular though 👍👍
Lively atmosphere, Definitely have to raise your voice to be heard, a bit impersonal for the solo traveller, I enjoyed it back then 2004 socialized in a small Irish bar great band, never had the urge to go back 🤷♀️ great vlog 👍
@patrick Moran What did you think of Playa del Ingles Patrick? I’ve never been so it would be a bit unfair of me to say too much, but from what I saw on another vloggers account I wasn’t impressed . A friend of mine went this summer and left after four days, she booked her family into another resort instead 😬
@@linzbarber Hi Linz sorry for late reply but it was many years ago and found it catered for more youngsters like yourself, with many disco bars .,there was 3 different centres ,irish centre ,yumbo centre and another one I cannot think of at moment. It might be different these days . The beach is lovely especially Maspolomas with lots of dunes so not really giving you any helpful information so maybe the wee man will jog my memory.. take care Linz 😀💯👍
@@patrickmoran4171 Thank you Patrick, that’s the name of the place my friend detested… Yumbo centre! She said that to her it felt like an urban, shopping precinct . Everyone has different tastes though and some people probably love it, I enjoy a lively atmosphere but I prefer places with a bit of character and ambience. The dunes at Maspalomas due look amazing though!
@@linzbarber Good morning Linz, yes I can understand your friend's feelings with her family. .I witnessed certain things in the yumbo centre that you don't need your kids to see . For my kids when they where younger, we holidayed mostly in cala llonga ibiza . We met families from England, Scotland ,Northern Ireland and met up yearly .it was all inclusive and mostly stayed in. We moved over to Port des torrent to which is now holiday Village ibiza. Now as they older did Orlando twice .we visit lanzarote mostly now and hooe to meet or say hello to the wee man who is there in December the same time as myself so you have a lovely day 😀💯👍you superstar
@@patrickmoran4171 Good morning Patrick, so we may see an appearance from you in one of Kevin’s videos this December then? Lucky man, escaping the cold and dark and heading for the sun ☀️ ☀️ Enjoy your day fellow superstar 😁
First went there in June 1991 - it was fun then and it looks like it's still fun now. Might have to pay it another visit as been Playa Del Ingles 3 times since then but probably not stay there again but I would Puerto Rico to be fair
@@ScotsmaninTenerife That can sometimes be a good thing in the Canaries 😎👍 Think my next trip could well be there in Puerto or Corralejo in Fuert' Love the easy access to Playa Blanca from there. Great vids mate

Hi Kevin, will you be back in Los Cristianos in the next week or two? My 84 year old parents are there and have watched all your videos and would love to meet you on your walks.
Shopping centre for bars and restaurants that’s handy having a trolly to get you home or to sleep in ?.I’ve got two allergies Kevin…….Country and Western
Whats this centre called? We are staying in Playa Taurito just wondering if we get a taxi to Puerto Rico which area would we ask to be dropped off at ?
Mr.McNally, 2 rookie cops are walking along Mediterranean Avenue in Edinburgh when they come across a dead horse, one says " I suppose we have to record this", he gets out his note book and says to his partner " how do you spell the street we're in ?", he says "Medit, made, medd , oh drag it into Rose Street. Great video Kev, like the look of GC.
Some great pubs there although the Albanian dodgies surrounding that place ruin it every time I go trying to sell drugs . Last time there they made derogatory comments to my partner during daytime hours when we were looking around the shops . I’m surprised the police allow it as it puts us off going in . Mogan mall is beautiful though and a nice addition .
It's only being done up, you should have seen it before, very run down, but looks way better now, after 3-4 days I feel like you're stuck in a bubble but it's a great night out all year round, very busy in December January..... Full of British and Irish but especially Scandinavian people, they take over, open pubs restaurants and that place doing the line dancing is actually a Scandinavian bar, they love it, where kev went for a pint, underneath it is the 1 and only nite club. All bars stay open till 3AM , u can hear the music coming up the mountain either side if u have an early nite or choose 2 drink on you're balcony's, I've done 10-7-7 days but 4-7 nites would be plenty, port mogan on the bus or boat is absolutely stunning and a must see, all the rich live there, only 20 mins on the bus or 30 on the boat and the beautiful amadoras man made beach on the way also
Black white piano bar good
Love Puerto Rico my fave place heading over there in 18 days 😊

Nothing else counts except cheap drink and food . Regards the Geordie moderate drinker .
Purpose built pubs that resemble the entertainment huts in cheap holiday camps. It looks terrible.
Agree not great visually but some decent bars.
Agree I prefer the old centre , new place nice but no vibe.
I don’t want to upset anyone who loves this place, but I agree with Alan . Not for me I’m afraid .
