So this video goes over goalkeeper 1v1 positioning and talk about when to rush out and hold back as well as adding in the aspect of saving chip shots/lobs. I upload football session and try to improve as a goalkeeper just showing my skill out to the internet.

Sometimes i want goalkeeper gloves but I'm still a kid, I want to be like Peter Schmeichel, Oliver kahn,San Iker Casillas, But my parents didnt support me, bless people who has parent supporting them
I also didn't have gloves until 2 months ago or so, I used to practice with bare hand, yes I got hurt, but you don't need gloves, if you're that passionate about something, you'd do anything for it
Train with bare hands, improves handling technique
most budget globes wont protect you anyway, but i don’t recommend playing without gloves. i got injured 3 TIMES in only the timespan of 6 months, guess what, one was with budget gloves, and the other 2 were when i was gloveless… it was broken, and it hurt like a truck. Im 6 months late so maybe you have gloves now but u do u. (im young as well)
Me also but I convinced them
Me also my parents didn’t support me, so I just do goalkeeping in my recess time
Great Part 2 Video Love It 🥶 SOOO Useful and SAVE
Thank you 🥰
Hello! So i’ve watched a lot of your videos the past couple days, and i just wanna say thank you for making these videos 🙏 Im not good at football so let alone goalkeeping for my team. And your tips are very helpful and i’m more confident at goalkeeping. Keep it up!! ⚽️

Thank you ☺️ and keep improving 💪
Great videos. As I'm not a goalkeeper myself and never have been these are very helpful since I've been tasked to train the keepers in our team. Keep up the good work.
Thanks 😊
This helps a lot man, I've got a final tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll be able to put what I've learnt onto the pitch
I wish you the best of luck 🤞
@@FootballMadAdventures personally, I thought I went pretty well, saving quite a few 1v1s and creating quick counters, however we lost 2-1 unfortunately

Legend! 👊
Great stuff overall and I get what you are saying about dropping back But- I think it is generally a bad idea for a keeper to drop back (go backwards) on a 1v1 if the striker is inside the box. If you get caught out in “no man’s land” I would agree but good strikers will go hard and fast to goal if the keeper is backing up. The key is to be in a good position to begin with so you don’t have to back up.
No my apologies. Looking back at it I should have said this differently. What I meant was if you are outside the box, around 18 or penalty spot and the striker wins the ball higher up the pitch around the defensive line or gets on the end of a through ball outside the box. At this point if you can't sweep the ball you want to drop to your 6 yard line to prevent the chip from happening and to lure them in. Once they start to enter the box you come out towards them.
Absolutely if it's in your own box then you realistically shouldn't go backwards unless your defenders came to deal with the striker.
I hope this clears things up👍
@@OP1GK perfect! Thank you for the clarification
goat
Thank you 😊
Great vid but when they get past u or behind u how will u react to get the ball from behind u ?????
You never want to get into that situation. This means that if they do take that touch around you, you will need to dive/ smother parrying the ball way or getting the ball under control. You don't want to try to run back to get the ball as the attacker will get there quicker than you.
Thx mate i know just how much u put into this video. Any tips im a goalie who trains by himself without a team looking to join one. Any tips how to get First team.
Start emailing team's asking for a trial and if your friends play for a team ask them if you can come along for a training session as a trial for their team.
@@OP1GK thank you soo much best of luck with your team
@@OP1GK oh and btw what team do you play for

sometimes when I'm trying to set myself for 1v1, instead of receiving the breakaway situation, the striker just takes a shot outside the box and leads me less chances. Also what can i do if i get into a 1 vs 2 position or 2 vs 2 ???
You have to set for a shot and once the striker takes a touch into the box you slowly get lower down into that 1v1 set position slowly approaching the attacker, mimicking their movements.
Defending a 2v1 can be very difficult and requires lots of patience and speed.
i am 10 and i play goalie and these tips keep improving my game thx (SAVE)
Glad to hear that ☺
Thanks really much for making those videos. But for a short goalie as me, I'm really afraid of chips. Is there any tips?
If your positioning is right, the chip shouldn't happen like said in the video
i’m always scared for some reason on 1v1 because one day i got kicked on the head and got a concussion and i’m trying my best to not be scared of it do you have any tips?
I had the same thing I got knocked out before but I'm not sure I just kept playing the same way. You have to be brave and usually you get kicked because your technique is off.
@@OP1GK thanks🙏
