I wish Assassin's Creed VR (Assassins Creed Nexus I think it's called) would turn out something like this. Or maybe we'll all be surprised with something even better!
Lol of course we wont, being an Assassin's Creed fan I'm kinda used to disappointment at this point.
But one can hope, like we always have for AC to one day reach its potential.

Thoughts on Mirage so far anyone?
My thoughts... (copied from my response to a comment from @michaelboyle-ms2id)
I would have been more excited if it was developed from the ground up... It's being developed with Valhalla's groundwork so some things like the dumbed down parkour are unfortunately staying in the game.
The focus on stealth seems promising though, I hope they stick to their word on that though. I'm afraid a truly stealth focused AC's learning curve may seem steep to Ubisoft's "cater to a wider audience" and "every playstyle works" nonsense. I would want stealth to be worth putting in time to master.
Sorry if I sounded too cynical btw, I AM cautiously optimistic though haha :D

After seeing the teleporting stealth executions, I lost all hope that Mirage would “return Assassin’s Creed to its roots”. It’s a shame, considering I was cautiously interested when I saw the first gameplay trailer

Well at first I was very excited because it did look like an old school ac game. But upon watching that gameplay deep dive or whatever, I was very frustrated to see the blocky parkour and whatever that freaky teleport thing was. I thought we were staying away from the wizard magic on this one? Having it be a little grounded? So yeah I’m very cautious and will definitely not be preordering

@@flurp2316 yes, A hook that you stab people with in the game. I looked it up though, the hook is under the blade and when you stab, the hook is pushed back towards the wrist while the knife blade is locked in place
I got second-hand satisfaction on having the wristblades shnikkit out into stabbing mode, and then perform the stabby. Also, it's a damn shame the ropes and the rope sliding aren't utilized that much if at all in base game, even in the generating dungeons, because that initial ropeslide kill is just ideal for a ropeslide encounter.
Also, I liked that you took a moment to spy through the door and chose the sneaky kill through the window instead of barging in, felt very assassino~

this is an awesome! i wish some of the npcs had patrol routes i imagine nexus will play like this but have stuff like that more added variables to work around. i loved how u covered the guards mouth when u assassinated them at 1:33... it would be awesome if there was a sound detection system in the AC Nexus and u actually had to do that when close to other guards while assassinating or their screams might alert them

Every time I type blade and sorcery it comes up with your videos. AND THEY'RE FUCKING SO GOOD! Like I can't describe how insane they are. You inspired me to get the game and damn vr sickness is a bit hard to get through. But I try and copy all your takedowns and stealth moves lol
Glad you liked it! Its a lot of trial and error, and I use a lot of slow motion. For motion sickness, having air blowing on you and taking frequent breaks helps :) (You can try taking breaks before the sickness becomes too much so you can get back in VR faster, that's what helped me)

this guy is hella good at B&S. It takes time to perform shit like this, even tho it is slo-mo. Like you always see those videos "talented swordsman tries vr" and they get millions of views but honestly they look like armed toddlers compared to this dude's finesse. Anyone can kill those shitty bots, it's way too easy, you just need to make it look good and not janky.

I started using hidden blades in my game and now I can't play without them lol. My favorite thing to do is to combine them with sword technique and instantly end an enemy once I've broken their guard with the sword.

Duuuuuude..... That ending was awesome. Also, a lot of your follow up strikes are great technique in general. i like the versatility you demonstrate using the various blade functions and the change ups in which is deployed for which purpose. i've yet to see you trip with a hook though(plenty of slashes) does it not "hook" onto their limbs when you cross it?

Does playing lade and Sorcery ever feel boring for you because I think I'm pretty good at swords and katanas but after a while it gets repetitive, do you ever feel bored while playing?
I was actually bored at one point, still get bored some times. Because of the sandbox nature of the game it gets VERY repetitive. You can only aimlessly kill people for so long... Mods add some longevity to it but its still kinda the same thing.
Its very satisfying to do cool kills or play skillfully but what's the point if the game offers no reason to do it. "Making your own fun" and intrinsic motivation can only take a game so far.
I am very lucky that I found my "reason to play" in the form of this CZcams channel, finding new ways to make a "repetitive" game new and interesting is what keeps me from getting bored. But not everyone has/is willing to do that. And I feel this is Blade and Sorcery's (and other such VR sandbox's) fatal flaw which keeps it from reaching its potential. It has excellent gameplay but no reason to engage in it...
@@interestingameplay It is a fatal flaw because new players can play until they become pros and after that, you start watching other pros but then it gets repetitive and by looking at your gameplay it inspires me to try new things because I am not that good with staff's but the worst part about getting good at something it gets too easy and boring I find your videos very entertaining and I enjoy watching so I just felt curious on how you felt on the repetitive feel of the game
I do think that they should add more mechanics such as being able to catch fire, make drowning more realistic with a bar or something, make more maps for Blade and sorcery nomad, focus on making more levels for all versions of the game, and finally change what the enemies look like because it looks like I'm fighting the same 5 or 6 people every time I load the game.

I personally feel instead of adding more mechanics (the game has enough fighting, breakable objects, climbing, swimming, exploring) they should focus on a campaign or some other progression based game mode. Hopefully the upcoming crystal hunt game mode satisfies that itch :)
