Eric's set not only demonstrated why he's considered one of the top electric guitarists today (of any genre), it also showed how talented and insightful he can be on the acoustic guitar. The show allowed Eric to share his story of overcoming addiction and to provide a positive message for those dealing with similar demons.

Mr. Gales, thank goodness and thank the Lord for you 🙏 .. from a simple aging white guy who's been playing many many hours over decades and still, nowhere even near the planet you come from 🤣 I can't even say you're and inspiration because of your unique style (lefty / strings upside down) probably best compared to Jeff Beck in this regard concerning style that rings out thru every back strum or soft jazz chord ... and dont get me started on the use of your thumb on that hi-E while riffing - WT !! If I had but a small fraction of your funk-ability I'd be a million shades happier ❤ Thanks again - you electrify and light up my life !
How he makes the guitar do whatever he wants is incredible! Mind boggling control on the instrument. The solo on the studio version of “Too close to the fire” is incredible. Tear jerking musician! Hats off! Hope he wins the Grammy this time!
