Btw I'm pretty sure you can savestate two chunks - one ungenerated as output by the tool, and one generated but unpopulated with a suitable island for the gateway.

would this be able to drop other blocks that generate over population? like structure blocks in Data mode?
Technically yes (you would be able to "mine" them), But most illegal blocks do not drop their items when you mine them, Such as end portal frames, barriers and structure blocks.
Add survival mode to the title
What happens when you push a block into an unloaded chunk with a piston? What if you made a lag machine on the nether roof, and pushed a slime block into the bedrock into the unloaded chunk, and held left click with a silk touch pickaxe where the slime would be and waited for the lag to stop? Would it trick the game into thinking that the bedrock is the slime because they both were loaded when the chunk was loaded?

aye, I might add something, you can see if the chunks have been generated by using a hacked client with newchunks. It marks you chunks that have just been generated. Combine that with an autosave detector and you won't need carpet.
they can also log tps. but at this point might as well use carpet if the person if using a hacked client

This system definently doesn't work in 1.15+ because Mojang patched chunk save states but, would a similar system with different chunk loaders and TnT dupers work in 1.14.4?

@@Lemson But why does it not? You could use a player logging out at the right time to load and unload chunks and use coral fan TNT dupers or even just dispensers, so what part stops working?
@@KO-tq3ns One thing making it not work is that population works differently in 1.13+ than it did before, you cannot generate spawners or any other structures wherever you want anymore, this method to get bedrock uses some population manipulation to get the gateway.

i know that in 1.15 they fixed save states but you should still be able to do this in 1.14 with a different setup
For several reasons. They changed chunk loading so you can't abuse population and loot tables for all blocks.

The real question is what prevents you from using the same method for 1.13+?
multiple things, devs moved around some things in the block breaking code iirc so fire doesn't work, and in 1.14+ you can't silk touch bedrock anyway. Population mechanics were also changed
The flattening in 1.13 changed tons of things, including the silk touch trick that made this work in 1.12
@Lemson actually no, you can still silk touch bedrock in 1.13. In 1.14+ however, blocks drop based on loot tables and therefore it’s patched.

What if you placed a slime block where an entrance gateway portal would be, then killed the ender dragon and started a lag machine and broke the slime block?
The entrance gateway portal generation is random, so you'd have to first kill the dragon 19 times, but I'm interested in if that would work
@@ondrikb yeah it would be really cool, also i dont think anything about that idea was patched so you could do it in 1.16, but of course the only problem is that you only have one shot in every world...
@@ondrikb or actually, you could just pick one empty space and keep trying until you get it to spawn there, and if it does and you dont get the bedrock then you pick another one and so on
@@ShadowCooper77 Well, I tried to get the bedrock item like they did, using a structure block to simulate the end gateway generating. What I found out is that it must have been patched in 1.13 since it no longer worked there or in any version after 1.12.2.
@@ondrikb the reason why it doesnt work is because save stating was patched in 1.15 (save stating allowed the chunk to get repopulated, regenerating the gateway), but with the entrance gateway you wouldn't need to save state because the gateway wouldn't be generated unless you killed the ender dragon. also i think part of the setup has chunk loaders, which was also patched (you can do it with nether portals but of course not in the end), but im not sure about how that part works in the setup, i havent tried it.

Kai World 2b2t is vanilla, it runs on a plug-in called spigot, and due to how impractical it is, I doubt it would be patched
@@kirkus4400 spigot is not vanilla, at least not when you consider the deep technical details such as the ones in this video. thats why no tech server runs spigot, it changes everything too much. as a non technical player you would never notice any of these changes so an argument could be made that it is vanilla from that perspective, but in reality its very far from vanilla, it changes so much in fact that most farms dont even work if they have any redstone in them.

@tralala you can't get the item with silk touch in 1.16 but if you were able to make it a falling block entity it drops as an item
