You NEED to read FLY by Ann Witherall. It's a real story of life in the Melbourne Punk/Squatter scene in the 1980's.

If anyone's interested in a really fun punk rock novel, check out Loose Gravel by Ginny Fanthome. Just finished reading it and it is AMAZING and FUN and CRAZY!!!!!!

If you want to get into another riot grrrl band I would recommend Fea, they are fucking amazing, I would listen to their self titled album first.

Do you happen to know any punk-rock movies? Or even goth/metal/other rock movies? I've been having a hard time finding any good ones.

The few that come to mind are:
Repo The Genetic Opera- (Goth/Industrial)
Return of the Living Dead- (Punk characters (sort of inflated on stereotypes))
Deathgasm- (Metal band finds book written in weird language and uses as lyrics)
Daria- (its a cartoon tv show from the 90s but its got a lot of grunge overtones including one character who was based off Trent reznor and has his own grunge band)
Beetlejuice- (Lydia is THE iconic goth character)
The Craft- (Nancy is also THE iconic goth character plus theyre witches)
The Lost Boys- (punk vampire cult)
