The footage was posted with the caption:

@@dn5578 As a pilot I can tell you that aircraft are delicate things. You really can't have much thick armor plating. There are so many critical components and systems that, if hit, could take you out.

Every hit by an assassin drone should be accompanied by a second drone recording the hit and effect. For two reasons. One, the recording confirms the destruction of the target. And two, the recording helps the designers and technicians perfect their weapons. Assassin drones help offset the lack of high-precision artillery. Onward to liberation, Ukraine. You inspire the world.
Most of them are but the SBU never puts the second drone view in. The main group that builds and arms these drones is call esca group and most of the time they show the second view.

think about it...they are armoured vehicles, and the drones carry a small amount of explosive...its not even a shaped charge with a penetrator...it causes a bang, a flash, a bit of smoke, and a huge amount of BS propaganda

@@kwanchan6745 A lot of these ramming FPV attacks are done with drones with RPG-7 warheads attached to them. So they are definitely shaped charges. Seem like the older, lighter warheads though, so maybe not so great against really tough targets.
I feel bad for those drones who gave their life to achieve this single mission.

They can. Kamikaze drones carry a cumulative RPG charge to destroy medium armored vehicles.
These older Russian tanks from World War 2 are much more vulnerable to these types of attacks.
Self propelled guns are generally less armoured than tanks to keep them lighter and more mobile/efficient for fire and maneuver. They were never designed to take an RPG round to the side because there should never have been an rpg that close on the flank when they were designed.
It is possible. Especially when it has shells or something flammable inside. Usually, it has😈

This is why training and discipline is so important in militaries. Had the air sentry been paying attention in the first video, they could have warned the rest of the crew and minimized casualties.
To be fair: With barely 5 seconds in the first clip (and it being so far away back then) the invaders don’t really have much chance because (although Soviet manuals will never admit this) its humanely impossible to be aware 24/7 X however many, months of deployment.
War is of course always sad (as most people on both sides sincerely believe righteousness is on their side) but in the defence of Ukraines case: 100% necessary (and who knows where Putin will stop next, if Ukraine falls?)

Because if we did, they would show almost zero damage let alone anything destroyed. These look like tiny drones, the kind you can hold in one hand. The explosive charge these can carry is roughly that of a small grenade.

You should watch all those videos of Russian tanks literally flipping their lid after being hit with an RPG. The US has been manufacturing the RPG7 for Ukraine since 2017, it's designated PSRL-1. It fires a multitude of different rounds such as the SR-H1, a 3.82 kg 93 mm high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead that is able to penetrate 500 mm rolled homogeneous armor (RHA) and has tracer ability. Its effective range is at 500 m, while maximum range can reach up to 800 m.
the PSRL-1 is also compatible with soviet rpg7 rounds. The RPG7 is still a viable weapon even though it's old. It's the ammo that makes its usefulness continue.

God bless the Ukraine! Improvise, adapt and overcome. The Ukrainian infantry has got it going. I love to see the Ukrainian army in combat using US made weapons, i.e., M-777 155mm howitzers, HIMARS, MLRS and Javelin missiles against the Ruskie army. Warms my heart seeing my taxes well spent. And now Patriot missiles, Switchblades and JDAM's. We used LGB (laser guided bombs), the father of JDAM's back in Vietnam in 1972. I know I was there. I helped build the tail fin assemblies for the Mark III 750 pounders that we used, Marine All Weather Attack Squadron 224 which was an A-6A-B, KA-6D tanker and EA-6B Prowler squadron. JDAM's made dumb iron bombs steerable with either laser guided or now, GPS guided avionics for the munitions.
The Ukrainians have gotten pretty good at using quad & octi-copters not only for instant intelligence (eyes in the sky) but for munitions delivery and artillery fire support. Why would a Ruskie tanker ride around or park his tank with the hatch open??? If your hatch is open you should not be in the tank because your tank has a flaw in its design. You're sitting on a pile of explosives. But then we are not dealing with professionals here. Of course, psychological warfare is also in play here as the Ruskie army either surrenders or dies in battle, not for his country but for Poot'en. The well thought out plan of "I Want To Live" implemented into the Ukrainian military has helped as well.
Of course this is a proxy war between the free world and the Ruskie tyrant Czar Poot'en's attempt to reestablish the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic with help from China on the down low. Now Poot'en is trying to empty the prisons in Russia and extinguish all the overproduced Soviet era relics to make room for the latest, fastest and best of all war machines. He's already failed in Chechnya and Georgia despite setting up a puppet in Belarus. We are thankful for neighboring countries, Poland and all the small countries. Despite Germany and France helping the Ukraine in its fight for freedom against Russian tyranny, Germany recently closed a nuclear reactor and according to Merkel, Germany will revert to fossil fuel which they will get from Russia. France is also dependent upon Russia for its nuclear fuel. So I wouldn't be surprised to see less German and French made munitions.
