Laura's "Self Control" video just hit 200 million views 🎊This interview took place in the middle of her Self Control Tour
The Self Control video was only downloaded in Nov 2019, so it is getting 50 million hits a year, quite incredible for a 39 year old record, shows that true quality doesn't diminish with age.
@@ArchStanton45 Self Control '84 love the music video and the album is my favorite Laura Branigan and band album. The whole album is good top to bottom not a weak song on it it has her powerhouse vocals from the heart kick ass band to back it. Many of the songs also has that New Wave breath of fresh air Synthesized sound with Rock Elements and Electronic Drums yeah the stuff that creates so many good memories for me. As far as my favorite song on it I like Heart far better then Self Control The RAF Cover Song. Heart is more true to Laura and surely brings out her singing from the heart and emotions if I picked 1 it would be that though I like every song on that album. Laura's 1rst 5 albums spectacular!
@@retromaster2000s Heart is a great track as are all the others from the album, I particularly like "With ever beat of my heart" but Self Control in my opinion is the best on the album and is an iconic '80's record. I personally think the albums "Hold Me" and "Touch" are even better than Self control. All 7 of her studio albums were great, but sadly she didn't have the commercial success that her great talent deserved.
@@ArchStanton45 I don't care about what is iconic I like songs true to the artists deeper cuts, more meaningful and vocally and or more musically inclined too. Hold Me '85, Touch '87 I agree man! hard to say I was thinking earlier they didn't do as well I just did a whole post on my FB about them and more. Her and the band even better live too I have rare live boots more audio some video too full shows. She doesn't need that commercial success Devo got it more overseas who I love even more also Gary Numan and band, The Tubes, The Cars (The Cars had it seems), Berlin no more overseas these are pioneering artists doesn't matter about commercial success about the passion they all have songs that make me cry and body chill. Laura and her band same always in my top 10. Some of Laura's albums did better overseas so you know I found out from my research.
Love Laura. RIP
