  • In this video you will see a Hilti TE72 get repaired and assembled.
    I found this in a box near a garbage container. It was dirty and had a defective fan and conrod. For this video i will just focus on the assembly and therefor all parts are already clean and neatly laid out.
    I am quite new to video editing and knowing what part of the video is more (or less) interesting. So please - leave a comment to help me get better.

    This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool czcams.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.

    This Video is the best Assembling Hilti TE72 on CZcams! Thank you very much for making this. Will help me alot. I'am still stuck on removeing the Chuck on the front. Its super tight i have no idea how to remove it.

      @randomrepairandrestoration1766  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes its vert very tight. I put a screwdriver through the holes to get leverage. Another option is to put a metal piece through and put the front of the chuck in a vise, then turn the whole tool to unscrew it. The rubber gasket might get damaged and might have to be replaced. 👍😊

      В патрон нужно вставить пику-зубило и удерживая остнастку открутить гайку с помощью ключа в виде полмесяца в противном случае сломаете деталь под номером 34 и повредить корпус редуктора и тогда ремонт будет не целесообразным так как эта деталь уже не производится.

      Some parts are easily available on eBay. Some of the parts are interchangeable with other Hilti tools. Even though a bit expensive, your local Hilti specialized hardware store should be able to order the parts for you.

    been a day trying to fix my TE72. I rebuilt it and get hammer action for only a couple seconds then it goes away. Then no hammer action just the motor spinning up. Rotation works, the con rod is great, replaced carbon brushes. Can't really think of what else it could be.

    • @randomrepairandrestoration1766
      @randomrepairandrestoration1766  Před rokem

      And this happens also when you try to "hammer" something? It will only hammer when its pressed/forced against something (like Concrete).

    • @stevecarr7338
      @stevecarr7338 Před rokem

      So there's no hammer action even when pressing against concrete, there was a time that if holding the drill upside down would engage the hammer but then it would stop. It looks like I might be missing a washer / spacer @12:20 next to your thumb on the right. But connecting rod and piston are good.

    • @stevecarr7338
      @stevecarr7338 Před rokem

      it's called a bushing, number 40 in the service manual. Basically the striker is getting stuck in the open position and isn't returning, so it's hammering for a split second then getting stuck. :Z@@randomrepairandrestoration1766

      Hi. I'm a bit unsure of what you mean. If i understand correct you are asking how to switch between hammer and drill? If so, you just switch the handle with the black ball. If you cant turn it you need to open up and check what is blocking it.

      good evening, in fact I wanted to know why my Te 72 the drill function works and not the percussion with the burion if the connecting rod is broken it would not work in drill no.

    • @randomrepairandrestoration1766
      @randomrepairandrestoration1766  Před rokem +1

      Drill function will normally work even if the rod is broken. Rotation is done without the conrod. In your case the conrod is most likely broken. You can get new one on ebay around 40euro. I recommend buying original Hilti part.

    I have one that the bit won't come out of. It was in the drill mode and the guy using it lost control of it and it ended up flipping around and probably hit the concrete. Not sure because I didn't see the incident. The piece you push back to get it out wont release now. Any suggestions?

    • @randomrepairandrestoration1766
      @randomrepairandrestoration1766  Před 2 lety +1

      Maybe try giving the the drillbit a couple of wacks with a hammer invards or put the drillbit in a wise and a couple of firm pulls. It should loosen up the two metal pins that hold it in place. If it doesnt work then its quite simple to disassemble the parts near the front to loosen it up. Hope you'll fix it ! 👍😀
