This is a random but fun rabbit hole that I have found myself going down with you. The video and editing are good! I’m certain that many people would enjoy your content keep up the good work
Liked, subbed. It’s clear you put a lot of work into this. The concept intrigued me, and I appreciate the thoroughness with which you approached the topic. Keep up the good work, and thanks for continuing to breathe new life into a 20+ year old classic.
Some of them do have jobs though Zell is a monk quistis, is a blue mage because her limit is blue magic, Irvine is a ranger, selfy is a luck based class like ff6 sester or ff7 Cait sith (they all use slots) squal can be a warrior rinoa is kind of a black mage
Because of that, I mainly make Selphie the caster, because I junction status effects to her Status-J(Zombie 100%), and spam healing spells with her. Selphie isn't useless as some point out.
Squall: Knight Zell: Monk Selphie: White/Black Mage Gambler(Limit Break). It literally takes a gamble to use her, because some think she is useless. Quistis: clearly a Blue Mage Rinoa: Trainer Irvine: Gunner(Have him meet Balthier for further training and he would be a machinist)
@@ossi410 One thing about Kimahri in FFX was, he had two of my favorite job classes being a Blue mage and Dragoon. They nerfed his ability to overdrive only. They know blue mages are busted. I never relied on Rinoa's Angel Wing. However, if I did have Umaro in the party alot in FF6, I could get use to it. It's just Berserker seems to be easily exploited by the enemy. I would be surprise if Angelo were a hidden GF, like Squall's Ring containing Griever.
I love FF8. It has some of the coolest cutscenes of any FF game and some very eerie/cool moments ( being stuck drifting in space and finding the abandoned spaceship just before your oxygen runs out..) However FF8 feels EXTREMELY undercooked. Like it was rushed out massively with half finished concepts and mechanics
If you gotta go with classic jobs..... Squall is either a knight or green mage. He doesn't use magic spells in his limit breaks (Knight), but he does use magic to buff his power (Green Mage) I have no idea what Rinoa is based on. Beastmaster? Cuz Angelo is always there ready to help? Zell is monk. Quistis is a blue mage. Sophie is gambler. And Irvine is gunner.
It does have classes, like most ff titles. Just can't change them in this one (like many others) Squall = Knight Questis = Blue Mage Zell = Monk Selphie = White Mage/Red Mage Rinoa = Beastmaster/Black Mage Irvine = Machinist/Ranger
Interesting concept but how do you go about actually completing a run like this when it comes to the stats you've assigned? I looked at the mods section but I don't think any of those are able to control a characters stats as they level? (Or I misunderstood.) As far as everything else in the run, that can all be manually controlled by the player right? I'd like to attempt a run like this.
You could represent it as something like, for HP, you'd have your current level base HP + Zombie, which provides 800 additional Hit Points. Character stats as they level are really insignificant, so it doesn't affect much. You don't need any additional mods to make this possible.
i think this would work as a mod, still havent played through the entire original someone gave me the game back in the day but i think it was the 2nd or 3rd disc that was scratched
Hmm, probably not because it requires a bit of knowledge about refining cards, where to get certain draws from in the world, AP farming. Just enjoy the game the first time and discover things yourself, then play around with jobs, etc.
Leave it to Final Fantasy fans to take the most open-ended and customizable of the games in the series and disregard all of that freedom and instead shove characters into generic roles.
You still have the actual game? Nothing is wrong with envisioning it this way. The junction system isn't designed very well anyway, and it's intresting to see the game from this sort of perspective. It really seems like you didn't watch the video. But leave it to people with statue profile pictures to make the worst takes I guess.

My first ff and my favourite!

Rinoa 4sure trainer at first but after the possession shes a mage/trainer hybrid?

This was so good. I was like "44 minutes, how could this take 44 minutes!???" It was worth every second. Really enjoyed it, man.
Can't wait to see the playthrough for this set-up. 😊

Sophie is gambler.
And Irvine is gunner.
This is such a cool idea. Thanks for making this video!
I am currently on this one. I am going through all the main ones and have gotten to ff8.
would love to see something like this for the other FF games that dont have a set in stone job system like 7 and 10. good vid!
Traditional Blue Magic : Getting Hit by the relative Magic to unlock it.
Quistis/Quina/Kimahri Blue Magic: i "eat" that i learn it.
Great video excellent quality and felt so relaxing 10/10
Chemist / Thief is such a cool support combo. That's why I love Rikku so much lol
It does have classes, like most ff titles. Just can't change them in this one (like many others)
Squall = Knight
Questis = Blue Mage
Zell = Monk
Selphie = White Mage/Red Mage
Rinoa = Beastmaster/Black Mage
Irvine = Machinist/Ranger
Irvine could also be a chemist
@@MrERLoner I'd accept that lol
Applied Knowledge is Power.
Knowledge by itself is just Knowledge
That parade route has always bugged me. She is going away from the palace when Irving is supposed to take his shot yet she blocks it from the front.
Very cool!!!!!!

Ahhh so don't stress too much about matching the Vit 3, Mag 2 etc thing. Righto! Thanks for the feedback! I'll be giving this a go. :D@@nechrol

hmmm a blue mage that you can shape to be whatever you want where have i seen that before?
Th elimit to total commands/junctions is such a boring bummer.
This is SO random LOL
I can't understand anything you say.
