The color and the yellow sticker on it remind me of the city buses we had in the 1970s. One of the stickers read, "Do not open windows when air conditioning unit is operating." Yeah, I remember back that far.
Your sticker reads, "No heating up without mug." So how you supposed to get it up to operating temp? Do you have to keep a spare tumbler there to have it in the press while it heats up?

There’s a small plug underneath the press that is disconnected . The same thing happened to me. Now it counts down perfectly.
