I know what he means. I grew up in Brooklyn NY and there are things that I have forgotten about game and the streets that my kids will never learn. I taught them to defend themselves, and did my best to instill common sense in them. That's enough. They don't need to know how to move through alleys and tenements an ish... That's why I LEFT those neighborhoods before I had kids!
