Considering how small the range is, I don't think random is the best option (as it may try to get enemies too far away and therefore wasting claws and time), but I will test it out :)
I could do it, but unfortunately the strategy depends on how much research is unlocked (and I have it max). So my strategy might not be good for everyone :/

@@_gl1027 try this czcams.com/video/yhV2w9EjXuU/video.html The spider boss (the one appearing in wave 100), it's called Metaphor, and it disables all towers within 1 tile of range from it, and also it disables 1 strongest tower (regardless of range), every time its hp is reduced by 25% (so at 75%, 50% and 25%, so your 3 strongest towers get disabled when it gets below 25%). The best way to beat is to have more than 3 strong towers and by using abilities, such as lightning ball
Acquiring the tower is a bigger concern for me than how it works. the last few levels are a handful.

you could ahve set the tower's priority to random so that it can be more effective
