OJ & Hernandez aren’t the same. OJ had already retired, his greatness on the field had already played out fully. Hernandez hadn’t even scratched the ceiling of what he could’ve done
SteelersLakersFan you’re not wrong.
Hernandez and Gronk coulda built a kingdom
And OJ was found not guilty
lucious Lee he might not be guilty, but he ain’t innocent
I think it’s such a sad story. I felt for everyone involved but he didn’t have much of family circle expect when he got money. Sad
I mean look at Junior Seau, he shot himself in the chest so that they could test his brain. He definitely had CTE. Now that is an incredibly sad story.
Antonio brown next
No. He shot himself in the chest so he could have an open casket funeral.
Javier Gonzalez and you know this how??
Factorable not funny sir
@@mfwest11 i think he was trying to say that Antonio's showing alot of the signs of CTE.
I binge watched all 3 episodes last night. I completely forgot about all the crazy stuff that happened. I'd bet that he'll be the last gay, murdering, football player ever....dude really lived 3 different lives.
I thought i was the only one who thought that, they kept saying double life but really it was some like 3 or 4 lives
I doubt he was gay.
@@exclusive930 Everyone does that man. Like the guy said on the doc, it was just experimenting they did for years and years
@@hawksfan5 If you're doing it for years then it's not an experiment.

Jerry Lawler style.
Can’t decide what’s worse: Aaron Hernandez killing 3 people or Pat deciding to put that shirt on this morning
ohhhhh my gosh this had me cracking up hysterical lol
The shirt
Its definitely a toss up
He didn't kill 3 people....there is no solid proof that he killed anyone

Well what did yah expect he was murderer? Did you expect it to be a comedy
Still hard for me to believe that this dude was gay
@@BD52Ravens heck no, i really had no idea. I thought dudes had a falling out about businesses, money, or females.
Very depressing
That documentary was a joke and shows how fucked the US judicial system is.
"Waste of a great athlete" is something you often hear about first round players that don't perform up to par, so this dude is a crazy case
Yeahh he was easily on his way to become the Best Tight End in the NFL next to Rob Gronkowski
Well to be fair, "The People Vs. O.J Simpson" was a TV series with actors and re-enactments, whereas this is a documentary with interviews and actual footage, etc.
Josh Donihue i think he was referring to the 30 for 30 on OJ
Yea but there was also a documentary on Netflix with The same title
To be faaiiirrr lol
Yeah completely different
Hernandez documentary is a really bad look for the NFL concussion/safety agenda.
Can't blame football Aaron was already living that life style he was just hiding it
Jessie B I partially agree with you but it was also proven that he had one of, if not the most severe case of CTE they had ever seen...especially for someone so young. It was mainly in his frontal lobe which controls judgement, personality and mood so you can’t say for certain “football had nothing to do with it”. It was probably a combination of the two.
Travis Bickle it May have played a part but that can never be proven. Fact is he was a cold blooded murderer who played a full season after killing two people or at least playing a part in it. His team mates would have know something was up if he was acting out of the ordinary. Evidently he wasn’t. Couldn’t care less for him. He can rot in hell.
@@Vincentvega124 i think PTSD can cause the same type of damage as CTE...survivors of abuse and trauma...
Craig M you’re welcome.
Made a grown man cry at the end when Hernandez was talking to his daughter on the phone saying "Never bye bye, it's see you later."
Yeah that was pretty sad. Also, a weird way to end the whole show.
SamNettles it’s to reenforce the idea that Hernandez was showing no signs of killing him self that night. He was optimistic of his future as one of his last conversations and then he’s found dead after being acquitted for the double homicide
Eli Davis Still didn’t think it was a good ending, but I also didn’t pick up on that was his last night. To me it wasn’t clear.
If Aaron Hernandez could have found a way to leave that life behind he would be a HoF easily. Dude was a straight beast in the NFL, him and Gronk would have teared up the league. His life story is extremely sad to hear about, and as a Gator fan I really wish he pulled himself together and just played football because he was something special.
I love the point Odin’s friend made. Aaron wanted to be a gangster. He was given every chance to be a football player. The gangsters didn’t mess with the football players. But Aaron wanted to be about that life. Also the point of if he had gone to a west coast or even mid west team. Far away from his boys in Boston and Connecticut. Who knows what would have happened.
He asked the patriots for help and a trade cause he felt unsafe. He was dealing with a local drug dealer explaining the situation. They denied it 2 weeks later this Odon situation happened. Hernandez lawyer wrote a book. Opens your eyes. I do not think he is innocent but I do not think he pulled any triggers.
That dude was wise beyond his years Really liked him
I think Odin's friend was my favorite part of the whole documentary.
Edward Vega for some odd reason I don’t think he pulled the trigger either thus the reason he hired and hung out with “ the shooters “
@@edwardvega87 his lawyer is also the guy who got Casey Anthony off after murdering her baby. Son of Sam law dictates you and your family cannot profit by your crimes, so they use lawyers and writers to make money, then make under the table deals to collect anyways. Never trust a defense attorney that's making money from selling his story.
dude the way Tebow handled that interview was the best anyone has ever handled an interview lmao
Nick Hopwood he sounded like a child 😂. “My daddy said I can’t comment”

I think its crazy all this stuff that happened with Aaron, but, It needs to be stated that when they did an autopsy on him postmortem, They found the worse case of CTE that has ever been found in a person! Idk how much that stuff was stated in his trial, but that along with his past could explain quite a bit! Also a lot of this stuff that had happened with Aaron could explain why the Patriots organization was so quick to get rid of Antonio Brown, however different their personalities and past maybe.
Need a documentary on how u made the decision for that shirt 😂 love u Pat!
First here to help Pat pay the bills
I used the promo code recently. And someone sold me an invalid parking pass 😑
What about the Patriots not reporting to the NFL that Hernandez feared for his life or wanted to be traded away to get away from that life
The documentary lied about that. He never expressed concern for his safety, he said he wanted to get away from members of his family. That comes straight from the book the documentary was supposedly based on, which left out quite a bit of things that showed he lied multiple times to both the patriots and the NFL as a whole. The filmmakers were clearly trying to make both organizations look shady throughout the documentary
@@lanemorse8612 idk I remember his defense attorney brought it up in the court hearings that he told bill and Robert Kraft he wanted to be traded because of fear of his life. I don't know all the details but I do remember that and they had a conversation about it on ESPN
Honestly I thought the documentary was fairly average. The Boston Globe articles present the same information, and much more, far better and organized. I didn’t like how the documentaries kept switching up events rather than keep it chronological.

Aaron Hernandez Documentary: Aaron Hernandez is the only person to kill someone and then play a whole NFL season!
Ray Lewis: *looks over
Ray Lewis: *looks away quickly
"Allegedly"
Ray was never on trial for murder. He was on trial for covering up evidence of a murder
I may sound really dumb here but isn’t the story that if lewis did kill them he was attacked first then went to far when fighting back
Kevin Carter also killed someone and then played in the NFL again
When pat started talking about the brain thing it immediately reminded me of Chris Benoit and how there was something where his brain resembled that of an 80 years old Alzheimer’s patient or something like that. Two very sad and unfortunate situations that could very well be due in part to safety at the professional level of sports/entertainment
Im happy you understand that circumstances can change anyone forever. Makes you be more humble. And put yourself into different perspectives.
Thank you so much for your comments, they were very accurate and much needed. I also felt the same way about having a family its a serious job. Which too many take lightly.
They are very surface comments, not accurate at all.
One of the saddest parts of that documentary is the amount of ppl cheering for Aaron as the van drives by with him cuffed inside. All those ppl being behind him while knowing absolutely nothing about case.
As a Patriots fan, Gronk was hurt that final year, and we lost Welker, didnt know what Edelman could be but we had Hernandez and that was a bit of confidence, and all hell broke loose. It all happened so fast.
I wonder when the documentary about Ray Lewis is coming out?
Weeyum Byron never unless he dies... he is the greatest kept secret of the NFL. Accomplice of a double homicide smh
Weeyum Byron I’ll
Hunter Deskin wrong first of all he didn’t kill anybody second of all the people that did commit the murders did it in self-defense actually read the court filings and evidence before you make stupid statements!
TheSSUltimateGoku Ray Lewis is a murderer. There’s literally eyewitness proof of it.
Weeyum Byron you’re an idiot there was no eyewitness there was no. Go look up the court records!
This makes me feel so bad for gronk imagine your close work out buddy has been living a double life this whole time and is a killer
His whole world went upside down when his father passed away.
@jjcampbell80 lol maybe keep living, you've got time to change that
jjcampbell80 good thing your dad is there for you. His mother wasn’t there for him when he needed her the most. She chose another man over her own son.
It's weird how ppl think, he wanted to please a man who use to beat his mother. Than that same mother turns around and disappoints him. His father also played a huge part of his anger issues
jjcampbell80 u need to watch it to fully understand his mom was a terrible parent and he was forced to move to the rough sides of the street with his aunt just watch it and it’s not just the dad passing away that’s just a fraction of it
@jjcampbell80 lol youre a legend
If homie got that second lawyer that got him cleared of the double homicide for the first trial then he probably could’ve got off
Jay Dub maybe. Casey Anthony had just as much evidence stacked against her as much as Hernandez..you see she’s free.
How long till another one popped up though
Hell yea no weapon either he would of had a field day
Yes and then he would be free to murder more people. While it's unfortunate he took his own life, I think it was good for society that he was found guilty.
I was so shocked when I heard the news as a Patriots fan I still can't believe it man the best TE duo him and Gronk

Hey Pat, check Kevin Turner's CTE story! He was fullback at Bama and played NFL for many years also (some time at New England Patriots and i think a super bowl with them). He was on the '92 National Championship team at Bama and played on team with Dabo. Matter of fact, his son plays Safety for Clemson currently. He was kid who made interception to end Ohio States last drive/Game (Nolan Turner). Sad stuff but will def get awareness out there about CTE if you will share with your viewers/listener's. You have such an amazing platform and it would be great for others to hear and follow up watching this story.
I watched the documentary its soo sad and tragic for everyone involved and all the families. Aaron Hernandez had alot of potential sad he had to go down that path and the fact he had a daughter who will grow up with a father
You really have to watch the 3 episodes. Don't get bits and pieces. Watch it!
There are 2 things that need to be addressed. First, CTE plays a large role here. Second, his upbringing trained and taught him to always act as if everything is normal. Sexually assaulted as a child? Act like nothing happened, everything is normal. Gay sexual relationship? Act like nothing happened, everything is normal. Combine the two things and you have an impulsive person who will have a tendency to resolve with violence and then no matter what happens, you act normal. It's really not hard to comprehend or that big of a leap.
I love how Pat's mind works! Salute
Such a shame. Also had what I consider the best touchdown celebration I've seen so far
💯, his touchdown celebrations were mad
He literally had the worst case of CTE ever for somebody his age.
Mostly Rap how can u say that? How many 23-27yr olds get tested for CTE?

I find it hard to believe no one on those gators and pats teams were clueless about this man. Also, I think dude was crazy and f'ed up to begin with the concussions and cte just magnified.

This is actually sad. For those younger guys reading this, he was very, very good. It was almost impossible to cover two tights ends that good, especially when the other one is possible-GOAT Gronk. Imagine trying to cover a Kittle and a Waller at the same time or a Kittle and a Hooper - good luck.
you could tell some of those people in the Netflix special were lying through their teeth. Just like the Michael Jackson special. Some people will say and do whatever to get famous.
That's what I kept thinking every time Mike Massey was on the screen
The gay thing was probably true because his own brother is saying it’s true. He was probably bisexual but the qb was prolly in love with aaronw
CTE is horrible. I fell back in April and hit my head and was concussed for 3 days. I could not imagine the repeated blows to the head. That definitely changes your personality and makes you do things you would never do.
Bro it's so crazy you made this video I literally was thinking to myself last night after watching it "what if Pat did a podcast about this that'd be sweet" and here we are this is crazy as fuck

one hard head blow will cause huge lapses in judgement. it changes your whole personality

David Ray I’m so glad you have based your whole opinion on this subject around yourself. “I forget alot shit.” Yeah those concussions ain’t doing shit to your brain.
It has *much* more to do with his upbringing and the people he associated with than the CTE.

Sometimes it better to forget where you started.
Especially when you come from the ghetto full of people with nothing to lose.
Hernandez lost everything because he didn't leave his past.
Hope his family finds some peace.
I think the documentary came out probably 5 to 10 years too early. Think about it, in a few years when people who played during that time start running out of money they're gonna be willing to spill their guts on stuff from the inside that we don't know about.
whaaaaat? in 5 - 10 years people are going to care even less then they do now.... none of the other players were out there with him killing people, what huge earth shaking revelation do you expect them to unveil? as far as how he was in the locker room, you can already get that answer, his teammates loved him and thought he was a good dude. none of them really knew what was going on in his head.
