I tried this and the inner part of the cups that indicate either L or R have become quite stretchy. Are they meant to be like that or have I stretched the material by scrubbing it? They are still drying, so maybe they just need to dry up completely.
That’s weird I hope they tightened back after drying. Mine have been fine each time I wash them. But if they do get too loose apple does sell replacement ear cuffs. Hopefully you don’t have to buy new ones though

I don't think that something will happen to the pads. You just put them in water and wash them and let them dry & put them back in place
It’s pretty much just cushion pads and a magnetic. I was pretty skeptical about it too but started realizing the actual headphone isnt getting wet.
