@@pcfllms It is something else man. It's a league above every other coaster I've ridden, the only thing that compares is backwards DC Rivals but even that doesn't get close to how intense and disorienting Eejanaika is.

@@pcfllms Japan is an amazing place and if you are going to go I recommend staying for as long as possible. I spent 3 weeks there and wish I had longer. There is seriously so much to do, see, eat and experience. Plus Hakugei, Do Dodonpa and Flying Dinosaur are world class must do rides and Disney Sea is just unbelievable. I hope you can get out there soon, it is one of my favourite places on the planet and somewhere I see myself visiting multiple times in the future.
A lot of people really underestimate lava. It's molten, fluid rock. The heat required to produce this is insane, and the heat radiation of lava is ridiculous. You can get serious burns just being a few meters away. The water here is being vaporized even though it's not even in direct contact with the lava.
I wouldn't be surprised if the camera equipment took some proper exterior damage.
But in minecraft you can walk on blocks right next to lava and nothing happens.

Since lava is so incredibly destructive, it is a miracle that the GoPro survived.
And that is still aside from the fact that someone managed to put the camera so close to the lava, it must have been quite painful to place, even from a distance.

The lava must be really hot if it’s moving that fast! The viscosity must be very low too. It’s quite interesting to see lava flowing that quickly!
I looked it up. Lava can be as cool as 1300f which is still really hot which makes this video so weird. Why isn't the water exploding into steam?

@@stolra i believe it has to do with the leidenfrost effect, maybe the water is evaporating too quickly to effectively transfer heat to the rest of it, making the thin layer of steam slow down the boiling of the water overall

Different types of lava have different viscosities, has to do with the composition of the melted rock. Mafic magmas (basaltic, as probably here) can be very fluid and the volcanism is often not so explosive while felsic magmas (continental rock magmas) are very viscous and often have explosive volcanism because of the trapped gasses by the slow moving liquid
