Does anyone know like really know why so many of Henry’s wives couldn’t carry a healthy pregnancy? I’ve heard he had stds which could be true but has there ever been any real scientific evidence on why?
There has been some evidence linking it to male infertility! Considering many of his mistresses bore healthy children who lived to maturity (another issue he rys children had) while either their children with him don't live for long or they never produced a child for him at all. All the blame was put on his wives but the strength of men's sperm and their sperm count really determines a women's pregnancy same with gender
If this helps at all with specifics Bessie Blount, who had his son Henry managed to have six more kids with other men and they all lived to maturity, same with Mary Boleyn and even Catherine Parr. They all had successful pregnancies and children that reached adulthood with men that weren't Henry, something that didn't happen with him
It could be because of inbreed.. where cousins will marry each other because of politic and power. And the inbreed end up with a situation where the children born with some mutation or a problematic health condition, and the pregnancy become even more riskier after all the generations of inbreeds practice.
His daughter Mary was never able to have a healthy child either, she was never able to have a viable pregnancy, she had several of which were either miscarriages or phantom pregnancies. She was the only one of his children who actually tried to have children of her own, so we don’t know if Elizabeth, Edward, or Henry Fitzroy would have been able to produce healthy children. But it could definitely be a genetic issue that he passed down to Mary.

I hope Natalie got an Oscar for this movie
Childbearing seems to be so very perilous in those days! Here I am having had five healthy pregnancies with no effort at all, yet I felt that moment.
I’m confused
She is having a miscarriage
Anne Boleyn miscarried her second child, a son, and was blamed for it. Not long after, she was desperate to conceive again and even went as far as to ask her own brother to impregnate her. He refused, but the conversation was overheard and that was all that was needed to have both of them executed.
@@rmarie6764 that's myth
@@rmarie6764 thats a total myth. Those who wanted Anne deposed made up all the incest stuff and even came with "witnesses" that were close to the king to testify in their circus of a trial.
@@rmarie6764 she did not ask her brother to impregnate her. That was false and everyone at the time knew it
The mistress deserves it.
You bish
All of Henry’s wives minus Catherine of Aaragon and Anne of Cleaves were mistress lmaoo
@@SomePerson_Online But they all became queens and Anne Boleyn wasn’t ur typical mistress.
No woman deserves this and plus if anything why blame the mistress blame the husband she didn’t even want to be with Henry in the first place and refused to be his mistress but because how well Henry can sweet talk her she fell in love with him
Acting like Catherine and Mary didn't have horrible, pathetic fates too
I am crying 😭😭😭💔
Plss part 2 ♀️
Girl deserve to be real life princess in every film and series Natali domer
