The most satisfying thing is that in the end she got the ultimate revenge: it was HER daughter who ruled over England for 45 years. It was her child who got up on that throne and not the boy who Henry always wanted.

Elizabeth was a huge success and disproved everything Henry stood for but it was Mary that was truly Henry's karma.
She is the reason that every female monarch that succeeded her got the throne and the reason why having female monarchs is such a normal mundane thing in Britain today, something Henry killed tons of people to prevent.
Mary had the incredible courage to fight for the throne and her life.
She had people threatening to kill her, rape her and do other awful things but she pushed through and claimed her birthright.
And she set laws to secure the rights of future queens regnant over their realms and spouses.
She also accomplished so much politically and was very successful in expanding the Navy. Her impact on the Navy is seen even today. She eas also the most charitable Tudor monarch.
People just don't know about her accomplishments because they were swept under the rug by the following protestant monarchs. Elizabeth was a great queen but a lot of accomplishments attributed to her are actually policies that Mary started.

I honestly think he would have been proud of Elizabeth. It’s not that he didn’t love his daughter it’s just that he knew either his line would end with a daughter or the sovereignty of England would be given over to another European empire if his daughter inherited the throne and then married. Everyone likes to paint Henry as this insane man who hated anyone that was a women and thus he must have hated his daughters; while this claim holds some merit he was also right because that was the the situation of women at the time in Europe. In fact his worst fears did come true, the Tudor Dynasty was ended with Elizabeth because even she knew marriage would be a threat to her power and thus never had children. I think people often forget that Elizabeth’s line also ended. Its imperative that people stop claiming Elizabeth’s reign was some sort of revenge against Henry cause it’s not; her driving forced as Queen was the advancement of England and it’s power as a nation. If you claim to love Elizabeth then don’t let her reign as Queen be defined by the tragic death of a woman she hardly knew because her achievements were her own, not someone else’s.

@@ragerain6656t’s a long story, but she was basically the daughter of George Plantagenet, brother of Edward IV and Richard III. Her brother was imprisoned because Henry VII was scared people might rally behind him (he was literally about 12) and rise up against him, he was later executed for trying to escape.
She was forced to marry a man 11 years her senior when she was just 14.
Both her parents died while she was young, her Mother when she was 3 and her father when she was 5, her father was actually executed allegedly being drowned in Malmsey wine for “unnatural, loathly treasons”, which are interpreted as questioning the legality of Edward IV marriage to Elizabeth Woodville.
She fell in and out of favour with the court, was left on hard times several times over, but she’d eventually be arrested for treason during Cromwell’s big cleanse for the alleged uncovering evidence of her support of the Church of Rome. She was stripped of all her lands (again) and after 2 or so years she was executed, though she was served no charges. Also executed was her grandson.
She’s attributed to the poem which was found engraved in her cell wall:
For traitors on the block should die, I am no traitor, no not I. My faithfulness stands fast and so, towards the block I shall not go. Nor make a step as you shall see, Christ in thy mercy, save thou me.
Interestingly, it’s Margaret Pole’s direct line that was used to trace the “true King of the United Kingdom”.

She was not a great queen and she wasn't the most accomplished of Henry's wives.
Katherine of aragon and Katherine parr, especially KoA, accomplished far more for the kingdom than Anne did.
Anne accomplished things too but she's only more famous than them because of the church of England and for being Elizabeth's mother.
For years, Henry never made any political decisions without consulting Katherine of aragon and following her opinion and instructions. He trusted and loved her so much that she was basically running the country on his behalf for years. He literally did anything she said, even if his councillors disagreed.
Anne had a lot of influence over him as well, but she never had 100% influence over Henry like Katherine did
And most of the accomplishments that people believe are hers are actually Henry's accomplishments.
She did put the idea of creating the church in his head, but he wouldn't have done it if he truly didn't want to. He did it for himself and to gain supreme power, not because Anne had that much power over him.
He listened to her advice and valued her opinions but never did anything he didn't want to because she wanted it. And he never saw her as his equal despite admiring her intellect and opinions. He said to her face that he considered her below him, and less worthy than Katherine

She was innocent. A lot of the 'incidents' that were used against her could not have happened. She was known to have been in a completely different place then what was provided as 'evidence'. For example, she was charged with treason for mentioning the Kings death. It was a joke where another courtier and Anne joked about the courtier marrying Anne if the King died.
Regardless of whether someone likes Anne Boleyn or not, her trial was a sham and a complete farce. She was executed so Henry could marry Jane Seymour and for Jane to give Henry a son. If Jane didn't give Henry a son, she possibly could have met the same fate.

One of the most ironic things about Anne Boleyn is that we don't actually know how she looked. The portraits of Anne that we're familiar with today were painted after her death based off the descriptions of those who knew her when she was alive since Henry had all of Anne's official portraits burned after he murdered her. The only way we can really know how Anne Boleyn looked is if we could somehow recover her skull and do a forensic reconstruction of her face.
