They are always away from each other they never hug or talk unless they fuck. All they do is investigate and sleep together and if they try to do something else they immediately fight...archie always saw her perfect as something unique and beautiful he was the one who helped her with the black hood or else she would be dead by now because her boyfriend wasn't there at all for her

I love how they have so much chemistry, history and love..yet Archie rejected her the first time, I feel like if Archie had never gotten in bed with Grundy...maybe..maybe he would have said yes. They care deeply about each other, the secret glances, the longingly stares. Even Veronica is afraid, if she loved Archie she wouldn’t be worrying, she would trust him like he asked her to, deep down she trusts him but she knows weather it’s pretend sooner later his real feelings will start showing.

This is so beautifully made. The sequence, editing, this song, the voiceovers, the moments chosen perfectly depicts just how special Betty and Archie’s relationship is beyond just friendship. They have a solid history and maybe they had to see what else is out there and so some growing up to lead to the same path which seems like now. All these clues, Kev’s words when interviewed by Betty’s mom, Cheryl’s words, both Jughead and Veronica’s observations, everyone in school shocked but not surprised, and to the point Archie and Betty’s similar answers to their significant partners to again think of the other and what may still be there. It all looks like the pretense is real to everyone else and the only ones left to realize and say something next is Archie and Betty. So we shall all see what is to come rest of season and story.

Up until now, the best example of 2 characters' chemistry being wasted was Barry and Caitlin on The Flash, but Barchie is now the best example. The very few moments that Archie and Betty get to share are among the most genuine, natural parts of Riverdale and actually make the show somewhat tolerable at times. But I just don't ever see it happening due to Bughead and Varchie, mostly the former. At least Archie still feels like a natural character despite Barchie not being a thing. Betty feels like one of the most fake badasses on TV with all the cringe blackmailing and "darkness" subplots. None of her stuff feels genuine. It's only when she has scenes with Archie that she feels like a real person.

Gosh, it's 03:59 am in Chicago and I'm watching Barchie videos. I love Betty and Archie so much. I love them and always will. Funny how betty and I have the same family name. That's the main reasons why I watched Riverdale in 2018. I know I'm late but Girls keeps saying that Bughead was so great and I'm a guy and I ship Barchie. So I will always ship barchie. Something i have interesting with the musical promo, i feel as though they are the “forbidden romance”. Who else would it be? With jughead and Veronica asking “did you feel anything” after the kiss, who else is “isn’t” supposed to be together. “Forbidden romance” can also relate to how varchie and bugbead are the most popular couples on social media and they don’t want barchie to happen. Knowing what we know about them doing flashbacks and barchie being kids, it HAS to be them. To add, I feel as though they will do a parallel to when Archie was singing in 1x13 and was singing to Betty. Also, i think, or i would want them to re do the barcbie 1x01 scene in front of bettys house. 🥺🥺🥺😳
