  • Going to work is never fun, but when the cops show up at your job to arrest you, you know it’s a lot worse than regular Monday syndrome. So how does a person end up being dragged out of work in handcuffs? Sometimes, it’s a case of making mistakes, other times it’s down to being straight-up dumb - the following are four cases that are the definition of a bad day at the office.

More wholly compliant. You see so many individuals on these videos that are completely unrepentant for their actions and show scant regard for anyone or anything. The first vid highlights why there is a teacher shortage in the US. The teacher absolutely made a mistake and should resign and get help, but the way they treated her when she was totally compliant was horrendous. She was under the limit. They ruined her reputation because of a mistake any of us could make, usually because of stress. Any other job this would be a non issue, the most they would have done would write her up and send her home for the day. If it was something like restaurant work she'd be given ibuprofen and sent back to the grill. Teachers deserve understanding and respect.

    • @iamsatanjr
      @iamsatanjr Před 23 dny

      Yeah, and all for what - so that she gets "scrutiny from the community", as if that ever helped someone to trun their life around. They don't want to help her - they want to make her unemployed and unemployeable. If they could, I bet they'd make her homeless too, because that way she'd get even more "scrutiny from community". What a joke.
      I don't like people drinking on the job, and even off the job I don't drink much myself. So, in a situation like this, I can see why you would reprimand someone, or spook them with cops. You can make someone resign even, if nothing helps. But public walk of shame, with the whole "it might get into the news" - that's just too much. It just guarantees that this woman won't be able to find a job in any school anytime soon, even if she completely turns her life around, which is just pure cruelty.

Losing her career in combination with this level of publication is WAY overboard for having too many drinks the night before and blowing the equivalent of a beer. Bodycam vids should just be posted to show examples of people who resist arrest or for mid-high offenses...not for minor dismeanors with cooperative people who made a mistake. I hope the teacher and Alexa are okay and will be kind to themselves. Driving While impaired (DWI) vs Driving Under the Influence (DUI). The officer is correct, and you need better under standing of the law. The legal limit he is refering too is for the DUI charge, there is no legal limit for DWI, it is determined by Police officers when they pull you over, mostly if you're in the range of 0.060 - 0.079, it can be classified as DWI, but only if you're clearly impaired. For example if you are 0.079 BAC, you'd be under the legal limit for DUI, but you could still be impaired as different people take alcohol differently. For example I know some people who'd be really drunk at 0.080, others would be just mildly intoxicated. Which is where DWI comes in, it's so that if the person is clearly impaired, police have the authority to charge them, although DWI is not as serious as DUI.

    I have no idea why the school staff was so harsh with her. There was more going on there than what we see, I'm sure.
    If I had been her boss, I would have excepted her resignation and been done with it.
    My dad worked 30 years as an oil refinery technician. The sort of job where working drunk could get a great many people killed or injured and cost millions of dollars. Even so the refinery would give employees dealing with addiction one chance. They would offer treatment one time, and there were many you used that chance. For most it was not enough, but for a few, they recovered and had no further issues.
    As I said, this teacher was strongly disliked by the staff and they were using this not only as a chance to get rid of her, but to humiliate her as well. Did she disserve it? Who knows.

    On that first video, the perfect storm: hypocrite colleagues, trying to minimize responsibility, kids in the way, police officers acting to satisfy personal grievances in favor of one part... and not knowing when to stfu for your own sake. Inform yourself about your rights, call your lawyers. You've got to weigh the consequences, be sagacious. The director had something personal against her: nobody has to know about the whole ordeal, and is of little interest after she resigned.. unless someone who was on that office was willing to contact local news agencies-. It's a small town already, and one thing is clear the principal and that counselor, they hate her guts; still I can't tolerate the way police acted, encouraging and acting to satisfy someone's personal interests in somebody's detriment. *Recently I saw another video of a really intoxicated teacher who was evidently drinking in the classroom. She lied, cried, made a scene (her colleagues and the director weren't out for blood) and officers where much more tolerant even after a two hour ordeal, she was clearly over the legal limit after blowing the alcoholometer, had a cup with liquor inside, and the police were willing to let someone take her home.* This person was calm collected, accepted the consequences still they acted like cravens. Zero impact reduction.. in a school full of kids, two of them hers. Imagine the humiliation they put those children under after parading her "alcoholic" teacher mom around in front of everyone. Zero harm reduction, don't get me wrong: a drunk teacher is unacceptable, but the humiliation was totally avoidable and just worsened the socio-cultural problematics behind the issue. Sometimes people need help, not everything is black and white. Alcoholism is a human tragedy. I hope she and her family have the strength to pass this ordeal.

    the fact that the teacher was forced to work with such scumbag co workers who pushed so hard to have her cuffed and arrested just to humiliate her like that is what's truly criminal. If I was that teacher I would have probably chosen to sue for harassment as the footage shows that the officer obviously didn't have too and most likely wasn't going to arrest her if not for the principal and the other teacher saying she needed to be arrested as it "just isn't right that she should be allowed to just go home" after coming to work barely intoxicated, and her level of intoxication being barely a buzz meaning she most likely drank a lot the night before and the intoxication cared over without her really even knowing she was still considered "buzzed"

    The first lady had a lot of things working against her in this instance:
    1. Small town in Oklahoma. They have some of the toughest public intoxication laws.
    2. Colleagues who are horrible. -For whatever reason
    3. Cops who were pricks... I don't know how else to put this, but they were set on making the arrest instead of really properly assessing the situation and adding any nuance to the situation by taking into account her cooperation, the fact the she was not visibly intoxicated, or legally drunk, as well as how an arrest would reflect badly on the school/community, as well as if the crime fit the punishment. -There is nothing that she said or did that would MANDATE an arrest in this situation, and that includes blowing a 0.066. The cops had other options that are at their discretion that don't involve an arrest, but they chose not to use any other options.
    4. Failure to push back and exercise her rights against self-incrimination, and right to legal counsel. - There's nothing in the video that is definitive for public intoxication. This is an easy case to have thrown out by a lawyer. Chances are she would have still been disciplined, but had she refused any tests, and retained legal council immediately instead of speaking to officers, she would have had a much better chance of keeping her job IMO, although... small town in Oklahoma.. could have gone either way with the job thing.

A nurse didn't like me because her security cop bf had to watch me all night and we kept talking all night and she hated it so she did a citizens arrest and told the cop I was trying to fight her and she wanted me arrested even though the other nurses and doctors said they didn't see or hear anything so they took me away in cuffs even though I did nothing wrong all because of her and then once I got to the jail the judge asked me what was the situation from my point of view and they got the security footage from the hospital and a nurse witness who came forward to say she was told by the nurse who hated me that she wanted me gone. Well 2 days after being taken to jail I was admitted back to the hospital and she was fired so yeah and her bf and I spent 6 days together talking in the hospital until I was released. I never wanted her bf and never tried anything I just liked having someone who actually talked to me like a person. And he had the same hobbies.
