this is so good, thank you for this message!! another thing is that we are human. our bodies feel pain and get sick. instead of thinking my severe neck pain is because i sinned i just need to realize i slept wrong. these fleshly bodies are to make us look forward to our heavenly bodies who will never feel pain again 🙌🏼

I am very sad you are retiring. I will always listen to you for encouragement, I have severe asthma allergies, sinus , severe Major deprwssive disorder. Generalized anxiety disorder , syncope. I pray and offer any of my sufferings up to Jesus.

Thank you for this sermon, Pastor Rick. I lost my mom two weeks ago today after an over 2 years battle with cancer. We prayed for healing and a miracle, but also realized this could be God’s will to take her home. It’s been very rough on my small family - especially my dad, they were married over 62 years, and my brother. This sermon laid out some of the beliefs that people will gravitate too in desperation for healing ministries. I admit, I was more open to these approaches due to my mom’s situation, but still kept my perspective on His plan, not ours. I am praying for emotional and financial healing. I was a caregiver for her during that entire time and am thankful for God’s provision through my savings. I will need to find employment now to replace the money I had available to not work and take care of her. I am so blessed that I had the opportunity to care for her. God bless you and your ministry!

So happy to see you’re well. I must admit, this past year I’ve prayed so much and have been ignored. I gave up on God, actually came to think he didn’t exist. I don’t know how/why this video showed up on my feed. I have tried praying again, but listened to the scripture about asking the elders to pray for you. I wonder if anyone who sees my comment might pray for me, for relief from knee pain, a successful TKR surgery, with pain management (that doesn’t cause other symptoms as I’m having now) until my surgery. I need to believe God is real, but he has ignored me this past year. I’m a God-fearing person and just don’t understand. Pastor Rick, I pray for your next surgery.

Will pray for you, send comfort and for what God is wanting to show you. I've had depression for over 20 years, got so sick couldn't keep a job and needed to go on disability. I prayed all this time and wondered why God didn't answer my prayer....why wasn't I healed of depression? But being on disability forced me to not be so busy and distracted with a busy life and spend more time with God. And what is being reveled is that from my experience with depression I can be comfort for others with depression. More recently not only I've been support with people at MHA (Mental Health America a non profit agency help people with mental illness), but found new tools help me cope with depression and anxiety with drumming. Now I've started a drumming wellness program to not only work with people with mental illness but also in nursing homes and hospitals. Please don't give up on God, keep praying and he will show you the purpose of what's going on.

Pastor Rick thanks! I also had some serious stomach surgeries two both over 7 hours, within a 3 year period. It was the most difficult time of my life. I thank you and other pastors like, Olsteen, Joseph prince, Robert Morrison, Dr Meyers have been a blessing, I recovered little chronic pain that's managed by the grace of God! Thanks brother! Going through some Health crisis right now and asked the church leaders to pray for me. One of the leaders got back to me and said that she got an answer from God saying that he's going to heal me but not in the way that I suspect.... But better. This should be interesting. I trust you Lord. I surrender my pain to you Lord. You are my God and you love me tremendously.

If you believe in Jesus Christ you will feel the kingdom of heaven on earth. Paster Rick you have said many times, "God is only as big as your faith". CS is learning and truly understanding that Jesus Christ taught us all how to heal and demonstrated it. No one needs to be a Christian Scientist to understand the healing power of the Lord. I love your sermons, I love Saddleback, I don't want people to think poorly about any Christian Scientist. I was healed instantly when several of my CS friends taught me how to pray as Jesus Christ teaches us in the bible. I am asking you not to speak badly about CS. I will pray for your healing and this church always. I was born a Lutheran, raised by the Catholic mom, studied CS and now attend a Methodist church and also enjoy tuning into Saddleback services. All religions have something to offer to anyone looking for God's answers. God is not limited to one faith. God is LOVE.

For 3 months now i was hit with an Anxiety attack i thought i was going to die... i got really afraid and it was like everything changed i could not eat or sleep physically mentally sick my husband and daughter thought i had a breakdown they were scared i could not feel God that's what made me afraid i could not cry fir days i prayed all day read my bible wrote diwn scriptures i was shaking i had a knot in thr pit of my stomach and a lump in my throat i could not breath i was totally not in control of anything i kept getting up off the couch and walking around abd singing church songs i went to the dr he put me on meds did not work so here it is from the first of Oct to Dec 18 i am so much better praise God!!!! Went to my friends church to be prayed for and the church we joined we are going back to.. All the while i have beed going through this i hsve been taking care of my mother in law she is getting dementia and had several Sugureys. So i haf to trust God for healing becsuse how can i take care of someone when i am sick and alot of times stress would hit me and i could not breathe i would srart praying and go outside to get some air. I know this happened for a reason i am eating now and feel better stiĺl trying to catch up on my rest and sleep. Please pray for me i know this happened for a reason.

The Bible says... pray over you AND anoint you with oil. It seems everybody is being prayed for but never anointed with oil and nobody talks about it and the anointing of oil is in the same sentence with prayer. So my question is why?

illness. I need a biopsy. My mom died in Trump Pavillion nursing home in Queens, NY the Sunday before Thanksgiving. On Thursday the 15th, an IV rod smashed into her eye and nose
when she was left unsupervised in her room in her wheelchair. She died on Sunday the 18th
I will pray. You need a miracle. I want to encourage you listen carefully to some of his other videos as well, take notes but most importantly talk to God and Jesus... I am familiar with the nursing home of which you speak and have never ever heard a single good thing about it...

On this particular video, I would like to make a comment that may be misconstrued as being stupid and foolish. The first thing is nowhere in the Bible does it say that if a person were to attend a synagogue (equivalent of a church today) regularly, access to religious leaders and the opportunity to go to heaven is greater than one who does not join a formal group. Neither does it say, a church is defined by a brick and mortar building, in fact a church is referred to as the body of Christ and can be anywhere, in a field, a mountain, by a river, in a garden, a private house.....anywhere. What is important is faith in the heart of the believer that can be seen. In today's modern thinking, when a person asks do you belong to a church, or do you go to church, the first thing that comes to mind is a concrete structure, and inside the structure are pews, the lectern, the tabernacle, and even the confession box. Seldom if hardly is anyone asked are you a believer in Christ or His follower or servant? For a lot of people a formal church can be quite intimidating and they would prefer a private and personal fellowship, relationship and prayer with God within the confines of their room. Sharing and worship can be done in many ways and need not be performed at a specific time and place with a cell or group leader to lead.What I am trying to say is that worship and etc.etc. can be done formally or in an informal way as God leaves it to the individual to do it the way he feels comfortable with. It is sad when one walks into any church today, the first question you would be asked is that are you a member of the congregation.

I have an unknown multisystemic disease maybe genetic. Pain from head to toe. Everyday worse. It's like torture. I would like to stand it like Jesus, but there is a limit for me... I am a single mother with child... Don't know how people can handle it when medicine doesn't help. Suffering for God... Hmmm really God wants me to suffer? This sounds strange to me. By his stripes we are healed... It's not written that this is for after death...
I command this disease to leave my body in the name of jesus. Please pray for me. I cry out to God every day.... I need a really big miracle... Maybe the first genetic healing on earth...
Why waste time praying if you not sure about God's will for you to be healed. If he is the same yesterday today and forever. And he keeps changing his mind to heal or not to heal. Means he loves some people more than others.
If you listened to the sermon, you'd hear Rick saying "I don't know why he heals others and not some. He has the power to heal everyone, but it's not His will for your life." A sick persons life could be more fruitful than a rich persons life who's comfortable and thinks they're the god of their life, and they control their own life. No one understands the mind of God, the day you do, is when you've placed yourself higher than Him.
So if it's God's will for person to be sick. He is not a very good father. What father would give his son cancer and leave 5 children's without daddy.
How can you trust God then
So why Jesus healed everyone who came to him?
God's goodness is not something we get to decide on. Whether we are sick or well, he is still good. He's good because that is his character. We are human beings with limited understanding, and just because we don't have answers to the ills and evils of this world doesn't mean God is not good. If evil exists, then the opposite is also true. Jesus, who is God in the flesh, also suffered, and even though he wanted the suffering to stop, he allowed it to play out for the greater good of humanity. God is not the one who messed up the original plan for eternal life. It was humans. We need to learn how to accept our limitations.
