I wish you a world of happiness.. I am seeing this in 2024. I am 70 this year yet my experiences and many of my friends mirror your. One caution. Enjoy your relationship but don’t feel the need to dive in to marriage. At 23 or 28 your life still has many twists and turns. Each year my life and my big ass circle of gay family , well for all of us life gets better. I would never want to have been straight. You are blessed to have a loving family. Keep gid in your life whether you are Mormon or any other denomination. Gid bless you and for goodness sake have fun. It will sustain you when your youth eventually vanishes. Thanks for posting and helping some kid out there who is lost and unhappy. You will have helped him. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing your story!! Every one helps so many! It can be very difficult being different and young! Some don't survive. We have a duty to love and accept ourselves before anything else!

And to reach out and to ask even the stranger, how really are you going?- Hand placed warmly on the shoulder? You'll sense how far to go. Smile. No bash/slap pats.
If you haven't seen someone for a while, call. Hang out. Show affection. You'll never know how another is doing.

I am so happy you survived! I had very similar experiences with girls and a crush on a guy in the 4th grade. I loved your video and your advice.

A lot of what you were saying sounds very familiar to me. I’m a lot older, but I had a lot of the same experiences. I grew up in a religious family, was not really interested in girls (I was friends with them), and was more interested in guys, but ultimately afraid to make a move, and probably still am, probably afraid of what my parents would say, and also being involved in church ministry (I was the organist at my church). I would still talk to them, but I figure I see them during the day, even at work later, so I just don’t think to invite them over. I think it first started out of curiosity, and I would check out their bodies in places like locker rooms during gym class, the beach, etc., but didn’t feel like I fit in, at least with some of the things you mentioned as I’m not too good at sports, I don’t hunt or fish, I’m more artistic, and I don’t really like going to men’s breakfast (at least ones involved with the church, as it’s usually never just a breakfast, but they have a speaker, who is, in essence, telling me how I don’t measure up...) I have at least one relative that has that hangup too, and have known other people like that too, and I think that I work with one of those types..., where I’m not man enough in their minds as I don’t have 3 jobs going on..., at least in the case of my relative. In the last 2 jobs I had, they weren’t predictable enough to be able to take a second job. They didn’t have sports like wrestling or football at my high school(they did flag football, and I remember one gym class where we did the tackle part, but it wasn’t one of the things you could do after school.) Thinking back, I might have done it, if they had been offered. You’re right, there is a lot of pressure to get married and have kids, to do the normal thing, which is how it was with me, but the marriage fell apart. I didn’t really date until I met that one person. I had the same experience with not having too many guy friends, probably because I knew I was having those feelings, and I was still living at my parents’ house (which I ended up having to do again.) After my marriage broke up, I started doing boxing, and was around other guys and had friendships with some of the guys there, but with most of the friends I did have outside of there, we didn’t really have the same interests. I used to watch Wide World Of Sports on the ABC station, and they had boxing on there pretty often. I had originally boxed in my late teens at a camp I worked at, with some of the other guys, but didn’t do it in a gym until I was in my 30s. I know I’ve been hiding it for years, and you’re right, it’s not worth it. I’m not in a relationship now, but maybe I would be if I found the right person. I moved to where my parents live, South Carolina, after I had problems trying to get by in Massachusetts.

Keep up the good work of being yourself. It's actually difficult for EVERYONE to be themselves. And it's a continuous project. Do more videos. It's great therapy... Jim

It saddened me to think some kids are still tourmenting themselves for feeking a bit different - its not who love but your capacity to love that attracts me to people - seeing past the steriotypes - Kids round here dont seem to care about handles - gays and straights hang out together and celebrate their joys

Homosexuality is condemned in every religion

    • @juliofont230
      @juliofont230 Před rokem

      Why?
Because the “the Bible” tells you so? Cherry picking a Bible verse to isolate and hate a group of people, very Christian of you.
How about the many verses about women being subservient or cutting their hair. The verses where pederasts and rapists are elevated aren’t used to condemn “men of God”, many of which do those things and worse: molesting children, stealing, cheating on their wives? Lying? Every righteous “Christians” and people that consider themselves “Christian” have never read the “Bible” for themselves to form their own opinions . These people rely on heir “pastors” to tell them what to believe. Instead of using the “Bible” as a book of love and acceptance, they use it as an instrument of hate and divisiveness.
The “Bible” contains many examples of pederasty, orgies, etc. I would consider this as pornography. The “Book” should be banned from every school and library for its pornographic content. What ever happened to the simple message “treat others as you would like to be treated” in the end, IF you truly believe, there is only one judge; here is a hint: that judge is not here on Earth. Glass houses!

@@juliofont230 please don't give so much explanation,
Homosexuality is biggest sin in Islam Christianity and Judaism.
Your any explanation can't justify it.
Even ppl who were practicing are repenting from time to time.
      Many in usa repented.
      God created man and woman.
Anyways now incest will be justified for sex
