  • Here's a video of a truck & driver combination that I've been trying to film for close to a year, featuring none other than Mike, one of Fremont's most entertaining drivers.
Day started out with meeting up with another YTer to film a WXLL Autoreach. Once I wrapped up with the WXLL, I went to the neighboring route to try to find Mike and his truck. No luck for 30 minutes of driving aimlessly in circles. I went back to the house I was staying at and tried again an hour later to see if any recycling bins were collected by then. Sure enough, there were a lot of empty bins, so I drive around again, and I find him within a couple of minutes. Talked for a bit, and started filming.
Now I originally planned to film him double dump a couple of bins for another YTer (in IG DMs) because I'm weary of Fremont supervisors being really stingy on "driver safety" and crap like that, but the driver just basically said I can include it in this video, and if they tell him not to do it again then so be it, so big thanks to him for that. (DDs are @ 5:00 & 6:20)
Truck isn't anything special. It's a 2008 Autocar WX64 McNeilus Autoreach. Originally came from the Los Banos yard before it got transferred down to the Fremont yard (which is literally like 75% of Fremont's older fleet, just a bunch of transferred trucks). The arm isn't as fast as I've seen it on other videos, nor does it slam or "explode" into the hopper anymore, but the revving definitely helps with the current arm speed.
Apologies for the occasional "clicking" you will hear from my tripod. It's the reason this is my last video with my original tripod since it began falling apart and making weird noises. It's since been replaced.
    Enjoy the video!
    Special thanks to Mike!

Love the older WX64 Autoreach! Had the Heil DP RR and Freedom FL run through frequently. Any word if the Fremont yard has purchased any Labrie's yet?
