- Becoming Jibarito in Puerto Rico special guest Hayden Eskew of Vegan Vlogs, music by Rocky Duran.
This video is part two of the "Where are The Jibaritos of Puerto Rico" series. Hayden and I work in his farm in Las Marias. The music is my father's but is no longer available. As you can see, I recorded both songs from vinyl records. The first song was recorded in the early 80's and the second song in the early 70's. The first song is tilted El Lechon Y El Pavo, which is appropriate for the holidays now.

Gracias Carmen. Con tan pocas horas con un machete en la mano me he dado cuenta lo duro que es la vida de un Jibaro. Yo nunca habia usado un machete antes de este ultimo viaje. Veia a mi abuelo Juan Valentin cuando yo pequeño trabajando con uno en su finca. Verdad que es trabajo audo pero los Jibaritos lo hacian dia tras dia para sus familias y la hacian con amor. Con la música y el machete trabajando en la finca me hiciste sonreír. Parecías un verdadero jibarito criado en las montañas. . Las canciones muy bonitas, la primera triste pero graciosa. He promovido tu video en otros canales invitando los subscriptores a visitar tu canal y pienso hacer lo mismo con este video que me encantó. Es una buena forma de promover el canal. En los comentarios dos o tres oraciones describiendo el contenido del canal para que lo visiten y después en tu canal invitar otros a visitar donde lo promoviste. Dando y dando.
Muchas gracias. La musica es de mi papa y ya tiene muchos años que la grabo. El trabajo en la finca con el machete no fue facil, pero aprendi algunas cosas de como trabajaban la gente antes.

Ovi what happened with parrandas this year. You left Puerto rico early.
All of this was recorded in July. Took four months to edit them all and upload. I am planning on returning, but waiting for some events to happen before I make a decision.
