Hello all! I am Bryan Ferriter, the director of the film and I played Heathcliff. Thanks for the positive comments and for those that liked this movie, I am grateful. This was a passion project made with very, very little money and filmed over a course of three years and was originally intended as a small release movie but we saw we were making something we wanted to get out there and after many years in post production, we got distribution. I definitely wish I could have done some things different and that I had the adequate budget for certain aspects of the movie, but I am beyond proud of the cast and crew and everyone who put their all into this. This was, and is an absolute labor of love and we did get to film some scenes at Ponden Hall and around Haworth, the birthplace of Emily Brontë. I am currently working on a complete dialogue re-edit and new sound mix so will keep people posted on the release of the remaster. It could be awhile but I am wanting to address certain sound issues. As far as how dark the film can be, we filmed 99 percent in complete natural light, (all candle light) a choice I partly made to disguise some of the period piece issues as we did not have a large budget, but also as an aesthetic choice to capture the time. I have also considered taking all references of time out of this to lean into a mythical aspect of it and so people can hopefully look pass any period inaccuracies as I know they exist in this rendition. Regardless, thanks for taking the time. I am grateful again for those that enjoyed the film. There was so much that went into making this film and all we ever wanted to do was honor Brontë’’s work. A sound remaster is coming on the horizon. I also have other films out there as well and an adaptation of Hamlet coming in the form of a mini series. Thank you all!
This was one of my favorite books as a youngster. I've seen just about every film version available and I have to say that yours is the one which helped me to understand the story completely. I had trouble as a young girl following Nellie's provincial Scottish accent. I feel your Nellie made things clear. I really liked your use of touches that seemed out of place like a Queen Ann house in the 1700s. And the date on Heathcliff's tombstone. Your use of this angle reminds me of Christina Ricci's Lizzie Borden (set in the 1800s) movie where the sound track is hard rock music. It gave it more of an edge than just the darkness of the story. Your usage of out of time moments was very effective. Like a stream of consciousness. I've just finished watching. Your post came just in time. Thank you for this wonderful version of a classic. You portrayed Heathcliff very convincingly it was superb. Well done!
Hi @Rocky451987 Bryan, we are so happy to feature your film on our channel and that it has received such a positive response from our viewers. We look forward to featuring any of your future projects.
This is the first time I have watched Wuthering Heights. I liked the movie and I think you did a good job with it. I hope you are successful at your endeavors and are happy.
I enjoyed the film a lot Bryan! The story by Emily Bronte is captivating and so is your film script. I did not mind the low budget at all, excellent work!
Incredible movie!!
This book was my grade 10 set work. It will forever live in my memories. A beautiful haunting love story ❤
That’s a bit more exciting that mine in Year 12. …..Huckleberry Finn😂
@@amandabradley6256both fantastic books
Wuthering Heights is a masterpiece. It's more than a real love story. The way Emily
Bronte structured it marvelously, the exhilarating feeling that fills you at the end is a standalone work of art.
it was my English setwork book in 1975. I have the original leather bound copy and preserve it with fond memory as one of the greatest and saddest love stories.
The Heathcliff in this adaptation has a kinder more gentle disposition than most Heathcliffs ive seen.
Tom Hardy as Heathcliff, had quite a menacing way about him even though he was soft spoken.
I love seeing the variations in each adaptation. ❤
This was an excellent version
So many other versions dont continue the story of Hareton and young Catherine
Im sure Emily Bronte wanted them to have peace
The scenery etc was splendid
I was born in Yorkshire and lived for many years across Cockhill Moore and Haworth.
I now live in Scotland ( 40 years) so the moorland scenery brought back good memories
Thank you
So watch once the version of 1939...... .
Beautifully written , one of my favourite all times, masterpiece of an art
I'm 54 and I have never seen this. What a great movie so glad I watched it ❤
Bryan Ferriter directed, produced and was a fabulously dark and stormy leading man as Heathcliff…a new fav 🥰
Moral of the story, when you really Love someone don’t be afraid to tell him/her.
Exactly!!
Love this movie!❤
I haven’t seen this version. But overall, it’s an excellent story of revenge…
Beautiful lovestory movies
I am a long time fan of the original black and white (film)production of the same name. It is my opinion that the version offered here is neither bad nor good, it is merely another adaptation of a classic called Wuthering Heights.
I genuinely appreciate the channel owners' generosity for sharing this adaptation with us. I never knew of its existence and I am glad to have gotten to actually watch it.
I've always loved this beautiful story❤
Loved it, thank you 😊
Welch wunderbare Verfilmung dieser wunderschönen Geschichte. ❤🙏
I love this book and watched every single adaptation of it to the cinema or tv. But a blue eyed Heathcliff??
My favorite story from all over the world, thank you to share.
I have wuthering heights book with me from ages.. it's excellent story..
Mixed feelings for this version. It has it moments, but it is also flawed in many ways. My favorite version is the one with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche from 1992.
Juliette Binoche est celle qui fut la plus belle interprète et plus émouvante...j'en ai versé des larmes ...avec une musique de violons ... c'était grandiose 😪💘💘💘
They were horribly miscast in the 1992 version. I thought Binoche was dreadful as Catherine and the mullet wig didn't help matters. Fiennes had the fire but he doesn't have the swarthy gypsy look for the role. Too aristocratic and effeminate imo. Jsne Eyre starring Ruth Wilson was a more enjoyable story and production
Timothy Dalton was great in the 1970 version.
The best wuthering hight movie was with LAURENCE OLIVIER 1939........
My High School English Literature texts...
Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Wurthering Heights...and Far from the Maddening crowd by Hardy, and of course Dickens, Shakespeare & Chaucer....memories of youth.... oh, and Vendetta by Marie Corelli....enjoyed the Literature then... and nice to see this production....
Thank you so much for uploading and sharing... ♥️♥️♥️🇺🇸
wuthering HeIgts is great Love ❤️ Movie 🎬 ❤❤❤
A classic piece of literature.
fabulous rendition of this classic tale thank you
I got as far as 29 minutes and 14 seconds before being unable to bear another second.
Cathy on a white horse and Heathcliff on a black horse? How hoky does this get? Heathcliff look to be about 35 or 40, while Catherine appears to be a teenager, if not younger.
My deepest sympathy for Emily Bronte.😢
Best since I saw a B&W 60s Wuthering Heights 2024 UTube brings back 😮The song is wow not heard in today's music world Heathcliff and Kathleen- Kathy
This version is raw and poetical. 👏👏👏👌💖
Damn the scene where Cathy tended to Heathcliff in the stables was so hot! Love this version as much as the others ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you so much for making this film of my favourite book 😊❤❤❤❤
I don't like that the fact that Nelly Dean tells the story in Wuthering Heights. She was not there. At that time she was in Thrushcross Grange, away from her beloved Cathy and away from Hareton too. I still think that the version with Juliet Binoche is the best. However, I do like the details of the narrative. Very well done.
Somehow I liked this version.
فيلم جميل لقصة من روائع الادب العالمي
That's one of story we studied in English Literature, Wuthering Heights
Me too 👍🏼
Same here
wonderful movie very great
Thank you!
I was 10 years old...much of the lines i couldn’t get in my brain.....the book was translated in Bangla though....now i am 35 almost....😅
Love this novel. Read the book thrice.
I don't like movies where half of the movie is too dark to see with ominous suspense music.
Laurence Olivier the HANDSOMEST AND THE BEST HEATHCLIFF !!😍
Correct
Not a chance...
NOBODY else but
Timothy Dalton ❤
@@mirjanamilojevic7747 yes! Timothy Dalton was the perfect Heathcliff w/o a doubt!
Absolutely........
Laurence Olivier was the best Heathclif ever........
This is an amazing adaptation!
I also studied this book at school and saw the Timothy Dalton movie.
A brother's son and a sister's daughter ❤
Pure incest... Just like Queen Victoria and Prince Albert...
Hello hemophilia!😂
Good one
Foarte frumos 👍 ❤️ merită văzut
amazing movie
❤❤❤
This has clearly been influenced by the modern understanding that Bronte wrote a supernatural vampire themed gothic novel cleverly disguised as a dark romance. An interesting film version of the original story, but unfortunately as has already been commented, too dark to see what is happening on screen. Hitchcock once said the darkness should be n the cinema, not on the screen. One of the classic dark romances of all time and a wonderful novel that so many of us are familiar with, sadly this film version didn't make the cat, not for me anyway. Couldn't even make it through the first ten minutes. Thanks for the upload though.
this is nothing compared to the original black and white movie..it's undefeated
This book 😅 wow
I made a summary of this for my project, term paper
The story is about revenge, revenge of heathcliff
What's with the snakes?
Titulos en español👍
❤😢
Didn't like this version. The old black and white was much better. Lawrence Olivier was in it.
Agendada ❤❤// no voy a poder esperar hasta la noche para verla 😊
Shame about the sound engineering of this productions as almost half of Cathy’s dialogue is not easily heard… a lot is left to the best memories of the book
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I think the couple kissing in the end are cousins, so it's not a good story after all, the Yong couple
He loves it to go to god, but he never said, he believes in God and he do not life in a way, that Got wants. We only can go to god (an our friends...) when we love God in lifetime.
Well this isn't magical for sure far too modern a version. The table settings, the number of candles not representative at all. Noone can better the Merle Oberon/Laurence Olivier version
This is very much strange to me that how brothers and sisters marry with each other's.
In India cousins merry very often. Same. Very strange
@@agnestheilmann677 not "merry" marriage. Your almost all Devi devta married with daughters, sisters.
The American accents are completely wrong for an English classic.
Terrible production of this haunting romance, the best one on here is with Ralph Fiennes the 1992 movie,
Don't watch'. You will only be seeing the advertisements all the Time.😢
Not the best version ...more like a melodrama than faithful adaptation
A very poor version of Wuthering Heights. The 1970 version with Timothy Dalton was the best.
Not much good
Must of seen atheist on different versions this is the worst omg
Too modern looking.
The acting is pretty terrible 😂
A very poor version, all accents are too American, all the characters are miscast.
La peor versión de Cumbres Borrascosas que he visto. Pésimos actores, imagino que son todos amateurs.
De todos modos se agradece el esfuerzo. La fotografía y música estaban pasables pero las actuaciones....... OMG🤦🤦🤦Pfffff
Not with this accent
The dialogues excelent, the acting awful.
Awful acting. Don't waste your time watching this adaptation.
I saw many versions of this beautiful story, no metter witch one, its always magical ✨🩵💝✨
Copy everything Zoiuda for benefincie, not Higth
Idiots are those that fullest e touch what should never
I agree🤗👍
😍 Thanks for taking the time to let us know how you feel about this title and thanks also for watching on our channel

Para mim a melhor versão é com Merle Oberon e Laurence Olivier.
