My Leaf turns the volume down when reversing, but it only applies about -20dB it doesn't stop it entirely. I actually quite like it, but I'd be pissed if it turned it completely off all the time.
Man I wish I had the time to do this with a car - I wanna get a ute, the Ford Ranger engines are head and shoulders above the rest, but they seem to be the worst with cloud crap
Thanks for seeing this through on a brand new car with IMO already decent sound... I'm an audiophile and have just purchased the Seal since overall it's a really good car. Was also looking to improve audio though because of the doubtful quality in particularly bass / low-midrange.
I hope Australian summer won't kill the glue. In the past, I remade the vinyl of my door card in my Honda Del sol, result look good, until summer ... Everything was peeling off. I tried 3 types of 3M neoprene. Nothing could survive a 35°c day with the car under the sun. Ended up buying used card in the color I wanted. If glue doesn't hold, I would suggest a Flocking Kit on the bare plastic.
I'm sorry mate, but if you need to do this to a brand new car, then you bought the wrong car.
someone in China has put in a custom new UI for the byd car system and better function for the radar when reversin. in the end, it is Android.
hate car beeping noises. Drive me nuts. I'd love to know how to hack them out of existence. That and warnings when you turn a car on.
Sometimes during your comments to the behavior of the car (e. g. what’s annoying etc.) I think: is it the first car he ever drives?

And that trim piece is cheap. So if you did fuck it - no fuss... just get another piece of trim.
BBQ bamboo skewers are your fine detail glue spreading friend.
Nicely done.
So far, only 1 person in the world that do this to a brand new electric car :)
Looks factory!
could yo tell me which wire for suboffer input from company amplifier?
Seems like cutting the fabric to fit before plastic welding the Alpine housing would be much easier. Nice job otherwise.👍🏾
Sick as 😎
Love this genre of bloke, late 90's raver who likes tech.
