  • This sock knitting project is great for beginners or those who are looking for a way to make their first pair of socks without the challenge of knitting in rounds. It is also a very relaxing and fun project to work on if you have been knitting for a long time, too.
This is Part 1 where you will cast on the first stitches. In the next video, you will move to working on the fold over cuff part.
Materials I used for this project are: Wool Ease yarn made by ‪@LionBrandYarn‬ and 3.5 mm knitting needles made by @addi-nadeln
If you have been wanting to knit your first pair of socks, but don't feel ready to knit in the round, this project will be a great place to start. This pair of cozy warm socks is knitted on 2 single pointed needles and sewn in the finishing process. It will let you become very familiar with the shaping of a basic sock pattern without the intimidation of knitting in rounds. Many people find it easy to move on to more complicated patterns worked in rounds once they finish a project like this one.
