Let's Play Crusader Kings 3 III Legends of the Dead | Persia Kesranid Dynasty CK3 Gameplay Ep. 17

Join me as we play the Crusader Kings III expansion, Legends of the Dead! We'll be playing as one of the last Persian characters who is still independent in the 1066 start date, Shirvanshah Fariburz Salarzade of House Kesranid. Our goal will be the defeat of the Seljuk Turks and the reestablishment of the Persian Empire. We'll be using the many new features and mechanics added in the Legacy of Persia DLC for the first time as well.
I discuss my reasoning and strategy as I play, thus this walkthrough could serve as a tutorial or guide.

I don't think I've ever seen the Byzantines actually do well in any of the campaigns I've done, but seeing them get hit with the plague double whammy just feels like insult to injury lol. Well done with the war and realm upgrades! The emperor's son will have a lot to reckon with when his father passes.

Yeah the Byzantines are always struggling, usually from civil wars over the imperial title.

I think it would be fun if they added a dynasty chronicle to this. I really enjoy the role-play aspect, and a game re-cap would be cool. 😅

Just out of curiosity. I know you do not go to sea much In this game due to cost and lack of need. But are there any special events like sea monsters, ETC when traveling by sea?

yes but only on tours or travels and stuff like that

As mentioned above, there are unique events when your character is traveling by sea, making it quite dangerous at times, but this does not apply to the military.

Good Job on the takeover of Pontus , if the Byzantine emperor dies or gets overthrown soon, could be a good idea to fabricate a hook for a duchy in Syria or Crimea

We already have claims on all of Syria since we have the kingdom title (well our vassal does).
