Momentum Control was my saving grace for the kills with scouts. Might I recommend using the Symmetry? It’s just an exotic bootleg version of Randy’s Throwing Knife

A Block of Cheese I know, but the gun says just medals, it doesn’t say what kind. Besides if you’re able to get something like a We Ran or Seventh Column it should count
@@memo57708 If you enjoy using Scout Rifles, the grind definitely isn't that bad. I have a good Night Watch that I really enjoy using, so I'll just keep at it with that weapon. Not a huge fan of the way the 150 rpm Scouts or the 280 rpm Scouts feel, and the 180 rpm Scouts need some attention.
Its a really fun weapon I love it went on a 32 kill game right after getting it. I hate using scouts but man randy is like an autorifle handcannon Some tips, I used Jade rabbit because mida kept getting kill stolen. Rumble was supprsingly a good way to grind out some kills.

I like the more prestigious not-that-powerful rewards for doing Pinnacle stuff. If every new Pinnacle weapon was like Recluse/Mountaintop effectiveness, there would be no reason to use any other loot in game.
Thats why noone does.its the problem we currently have . If you load into the tower inspect the roster I bet my paycheck 95% of all the players above 900 have a recluse equipped

Got my Randy's last night, I'm kind of underwhelmed by it. On console the stability is really rough and the hit detection seems a bit off. Honestly seems kinda meh, especially after the grind
Jake Dempsey make sure you use rapid hit. hitting one or two shots really reduces the recoil. if you go to pve and hit all 5 crits it has no recoil at all
I wish CZcamsrs would make bigger mention of the recoil difference on console in general. I have to agree, Randy's feels like it shoots all over the place, but when I saw this video of him on pc it's like looking at a completely different gun
I already miss pinnacles. They really clinched that "trophy for your efforts" feeling, especially since they each had unique functions/perks. Rituals just feel like one of the boxes I'm checking off for Undying, and nothing more. The grind for Randy's is painstaking, especially with no real light at the end of the tunnel in terms of suitably functional reward.
I'm glad they're gone. NF is the lowest skill ceiling/floor hand cannon in the game, Recluse is brainless, Revoker is a sniper that doesn't punish missing. I just feel like they've done nothing but hurt the sandbox.

I'd literally rather be doing one of those exotic quests with progress degradation on death/loss than Randy's quest. But I gotta check the box for Undying bleh.

Sure that was broken and annoying but it was busted because the base optimal ttk was like .67 seconds with no kills required. The gun rewarded something that was already easy as hell to do and was done in just about every gunfight. They were the best in slot weapon on console, as bungie for some reason refuses to change bloom and recoil, and even are still great weapons now.
Tbh, I feel like that title is gonna be hella common. It’s pretty straightforward and only has like 2 parts that make it slightly difficult. I bet it’ll be almost as common as “Dredgen”
My thoughts exactly! I have had the catalyst for a year or so and already I have over 50K kills on it. Sometimes it feels like cheating or at the very least - heavy cheesing. In the Vex invasion I try to get shot by nearby Fallen and then I just *melt* all the ads that spawn, leaving whoever's also there to take care of the boss. Same in Escalation Protocol - Hive thralls' melee attack is considered arc. I'm not even going to mention the Glimmer Excavation and Ritual of the Witch public events...
I had my suspicions that Exit strategy was harder to get than Delirium, thanks for confirming. As far as i'm concerned Edgewise was harder to get than Wendigo and i did Wendigo early on. At least with Hush we've already had the absolute worst grind, so Exit strategy can't be that bad, with Hush i would sometimes not even budge the points by even 1% in a game, regardless of whether it was a masterful Prime win or not, i think i managed close to 3 resets.
Yeah, despite it facing competition from Recluse and Huckleberry, it's still probably one of the best options for a legendary Submachine Gun in the Kinetic Slot.
My biggest issue is that we need the weapons for the title. With only 10 weeks in the season, we need to split that time between grinding out these weapons and actually playing the content that’s been released. These weapons are already taking longer to earn than any pinnacle weapon (besides mountaintop and not forgotten) It just feels as though bungie didn’t consider the time frame players have to earn these weapons in.
I can agree and disagree. These steps arent really that time intensive if you really think about it. All of the steps are obtainable simply by playing the game and earning the kills/medals over time. This is coming from someone who mostly plays weekends due to work and spending time with my wife. I am already done with 2 out of the 3 ritual weapons and only need the undying mind triumph/Randy's for the undying title. I can see the frustration with players who dont have a lot of time and just want to play the new content but sometimes you cant make everything align perfectly. I'm not opposed to any positive changes to the quests but as of now they are very obtainable if you just put in some time like everything else. (Not looking forward to Randy's as I'm not a pvper) but I'm willing to put in the pvp time becuase I choose to do the tasks required for the weapons.
I think the weapons aren't time gated, because the badge doesn't say that it's only available during this season. I think only the vex offensive and the moon triumphs are time gated.
I kinda agree but I work full time and it's taken me maybe a week or so to grind out the SMG, Randy's and all the emblems... All I need for the title is Edgewise, 980 nightfall and kill the Undying mind

Randy’s was about a 5 hours grind for me and it was definitely worth it in the end, for me it will be in my inventory at all times for comp on maps like Widow’s Court and other long range maps like that
I'll save you all 15 minutes: Edgewise: Regular rampage or demolitionist with fieldprep Exit strategy: Nerfed af kinetic Recluse Randy's: Best legendary scout in game, one fast firing boy with kill clip Still love your vids dato!
A way to look at these is this: Edgewise is a solar variant of 21% Delirium, which means it's suited more against Hive and Cabal shielded enemies, so it's not really better or worse, and it fits a unique slot where there wasn't one previous (a 900 RPM solar LMG). Exit Strategy, same thing. It's a good non-exotic kinetic that no other weapon really fits with the current perks (I want to love Trackless Waste, but having no damage buff perk makes me disappointed in it). There are times where I want to use my exotic slot for energy and that means shelving my Huckleberry...and this weapon will do just that. Randy Savage's Knife (don't care what anyone says, that's what I'm calling it) seems like an awesome scout...IF scouts were good. It's unique in it's fire rate, which I love my Scorpion scout, so having this will be cool when I farm the agonizing medals for it. I'm really just going for the title, or else I would just slowly work on Randy Savage's Knife in future seasons since that is the worst grind out of all 3...and it's the one out of all 3 that I couldn't care less if I got it or not.
I think I have a good video idea: So you play crucible and then at the end of the match you only get to use what weapons you got from the match on the next match. I just was thinking and I think this could be fun.
Pinnacles were basically dumbed down Exotics just because of their own unique perks. All pinnacle weapons felt different and made people want to go for it. Ritual weapons are just standard weapons with curated rolls. You can do the math and see why people still want pinnacles.
I focused more on getting the gambit and strike emblems and doing those while making ritual quest progress on the side. Randy's Throwing Knife you actually need to play with scout rifles, but if you split it up on a day to day basis (3 hours here, 3 hours another day, etc.) the grind will be a lot less painful
Outlaw+exp. payload are really sweet perks for Distant Relation. I've had mine since the end of last year and since then haven't found a better roll. Just wish mine had range MW instead of Handling, but whatever xD
Exit Strategy: _deals more damage than Recluse, handles better than Recluse, and fills the Kinetic slot without taking an Exotic slot_ Datto: It's not as good as Recluse or Huckleberry lol
This is not a joke post. If your having trouble getting scout rifle kills and want to speed it up. Try Skyburners Oath, the hipfire mode can help if people are rushing. It's a 3 tap to the head. And sometimes the explosive rounds glitch and you get one shot kills. This is how I got Randys
Jason Lu really not hard to do, compared to the 2019 title which was horrible for anyone that hadn’t played for more than 3 months. (Full set of notorious armor, 1 pinnacle weapon for each possible vendor, the full grind for solstice gear, etc.) this seal is quite easy.
I just got my Throwing Knife last night, and it's lots of fun! I'm a Scout Rifle player, and have been since D1, and it's nice to finally get a quality Kinetic Scout. The fire cadence and stability make it very forgiving for missing shots. I'll have to run it with Weapons of Light during Banner this week!
Even more baffling that they absolutely destroyed Breakneck and Redrix's in PvE for no apparent reason while leaving MT and Recluse practically untouched. It is almost like they don't want people to use unique and interesting pinnacles and just stick with the boring OP stuff everyone is tired of.
During my grind for the Randy’s I used a nightwatch and with weapons of light I could two tap people so overall Randy’s is underwhelming Also thanks for using the proelium it’s my fav fusion
Both Frostmire's Hex and Black Scorpion are (and Datto specifically mentions Black Scorpion), but Randy's is the only 260 Kinetic, since Veist only makes Energy weapons. Edit: And yeah, he also specified it was the only Kinetic 260.
For anyone wondering, its 14,000 medals for the RTK, if you did great in Iron Banner, youre set for the weapon, but if not, just play Control, and go for multikills/blood for blood medals since theyre the easiest.
Datto. Another really good scout is the curated No Feeling from Scourge. That’s how I got my Randy’s. Also I hit my first 5500 this season. Congrats on the 1 mil and keep on keeping on. You’ve hit 1 mil so let’s see just how fast we can get you to 2 mil. Have a good one m8. Edit: The points needed for Randy’s is 14,000. You gain points by assists, kills, multikills, medals, and matches completed. Gold tier medals, wins, and weapon streaks grant the most efficient progress. Watching Datto play PvP as a Titan makes me mad. He’s the guy I hate playing against. One Eyed Mask, Fusion Rifle, destroying me in my super with his super, punching me to death, destroying me with his PvP ritual weapon. Seriously why is One Eyed Mask still a thing in PvP? Wall hacks and bonus damage? Were Titans not dominating enough??
@@elitereptilian200 And that lasts for less time than OEM, you don't get a shield or damage bump and to activate a hunter's wallhacks you need to get a precision kill while crouched which is arguably more skilled than just killing a guy who so happened to tap you once while in a fight.

Tbh i really like exit strategy. Opens up my load outs a lot. Love being able to use it and divinity, wendigo,21%, or love and death. I also love loaded question too, its my baby, so running exit strategy, LQ, and an exotic heavy (1k, anarchy, prospector) is great.
Random tips for exit strategy since it's under rated if you like energy exotic : (comment got longer than I thought, sorry in advance) Do not follow his advice on how to play gambit. It will slow you down and make you mad. Just remember gambit role and you will be fine. When I talk about role in normal gambit, I mean the playstyle, not the bonus from the set. The sub kill : take two or 3 game max if you play reaper role with a random smg. No problem either normal or prime. Medal are more frequent on gambit prime. So you should hop in sometime. Will talk about it later. Might get some good weapon as well. (Got an amazing shotgun and sniper from this) The last part... Play sentry role in both gamemode. If you don't have hush, equip a sniper and a bow to support the team from afar. You will gain more point by sniping invader than banking. And you can always get some motes , but don't get far from the deposit if you are sentry. Your role is to keep it open and make sure collector goes back safely . 15-20 game is enough. Didn't count my number of game, but I'm halfway through my reset to get delirium. And most infamy come from bounty. Small recommendations for your sanity: start with one character on normal gambit with bounty. When they done switch to gambit prime bounty. Then switch character and redo the process. It will vary the gameplay and how you approach the game. There is 4 roles in gambit , not playing collector doesn't mean you are playing sub efficiency.
Multikills make a huge difference for the Randy's quest, I went from 7 percent to 18 percent in one game on widows court with the blue 260 rpm scout. USE a 260 rpm they are low key insane
Man... this game had persisted for quite some time, I never knew of its existance during those years. Ever since they announced part 2 free to play, that's when I noticed it as well as downloaded it to try it out. Been playing it for a solid 2 weeks with a couple hours of progress and boy did I enjoy myself. I never once paid to play a game but tbh, if I knew about it back when part 1 existed, I definitely would've bought it. Such a fun game with so much adventure, lore, updates, random events, pvp content too. There's probably more to it than I already know and that's part of why I play this game

Maybe that's meant to counterbalance any potential meta issues, because you're incentivized to do something other than spam the best weapon.

Randy’s is a weapon I fell in love with after getting. I think it’s a niche weapon however it definitely shines with working along side team mates.

I want undying seal so yes I’m going to have to grab this. The kills for this are ridiculous

My thoughts exactly! I have had the catalyst for a year or so and already I have over 50K kills on it. Sometimes it feels like cheating or at the very least - heavy cheesing. In the Vex invasion I try to get shot by nearby Fallen and then I just *melt* all the ads that spawn, leaving whoever's also there to take care of the boss. Same in Escalation Protocol - Hive thralls' melee attack is considered arc. I'm not even going to mention the Glimmer Excavation and Ritual of the Witch public events...

I had my suspicions that Exit strategy was harder to get than Delirium, thanks for confirming. As far as i'm concerned Edgewise was harder to get than Wendigo and i did Wendigo early on. At least with Hush we've already had the absolute worst grind, so Exit strategy can't be that bad, with Hush i would sometimes not even budge the points by even 1% in a game, regardless of whether it was a masterful Prime win or not, i think i managed close to 3 resets.

The exit strategy is a great option for those running Divinity at certain times.
Yeah, despite it facing competition from Recluse and Huckleberry, it's still probably one of the best options for a legendary Submachine Gun in the Kinetic Slot.

My biggest issue is that we need the weapons for the title. With only 10 weeks in the season, we need to split that time between grinding out these weapons and actually playing the content that’s been released. These weapons are already taking longer to earn than any pinnacle weapon (besides mountaintop and not forgotten)
It just feels as though bungie didn’t consider the time frame players have to earn these weapons in.
I can agree and disagree. These steps arent really that time intensive if you really think about it. All of the steps are obtainable simply by playing the game and earning the kills/medals over time. This is coming from someone who mostly plays weekends due to work and spending time with my wife. I am already done with 2 out of the 3 ritual weapons and only need the undying mind triumph/Randy's for the undying title. I can see the frustration with players who dont have a lot of time and just want to play the new content but sometimes you cant make everything align perfectly. I'm not opposed to any positive changes to the quests but as of now they are very obtainable if you just put in some time like everything else. (Not looking forward to Randy's as I'm not a pvper) but I'm willing to put in the pvp time becuase I choose to do the tasks required for the weapons.
I think the weapons aren't time gated, because the badge doesn't say that it's only available during this season. I think only the vex offensive and the moon triumphs are time gated.

Randy’s was about a 5 hours grind for me and it was definitely worth it in the end, for me it will be in my inventory at all times for comp on maps like Widow’s Court and other long range maps like that
I’d still like to see pinnacle weapons added in every once and awhile, adds a lot more to the game and it’s nice to see unique, non exotic perks

A way to look at these is this:
Edgewise is a solar variant of 21% Delirium, which means it's suited more against Hive and Cabal shielded enemies, so it's not really better or worse, and it fits a unique slot where there wasn't one previous (a 900 RPM solar LMG).
Exit Strategy, same thing. It's a good non-exotic kinetic that no other weapon really fits with the current perks (I want to love Trackless Waste, but having no damage buff perk makes me disappointed in it). There are times where I want to use my exotic slot for energy and that means shelving my Huckleberry...and this weapon will do just that.
Randy Savage's Knife (don't care what anyone says, that's what I'm calling it) seems like an awesome scout...IF scouts were good. It's unique in it's fire rate, which I love my Scorpion scout, so having this will be cool when I farm the agonizing medals for it.
I'm really just going for the title, or else I would just slowly work on Randy Savage's Knife in future seasons since that is the worst grind out of all 3...and it's the one out of all 3 that I couldn't care less if I got it or not.

So you play crucible and then at the end of the match you only get to use what weapons you got from the match on the next match.

Pinnacles were basically dumbed down Exotics just because of their own unique perks. All pinnacle weapons felt different and made people want to go for it.
Ritual weapons are just standard weapons with curated rolls.
You can do the math and see why people still want pinnacles.
for exit strategy: always send small blockers, it will speed things up more than sending medium or large blockers

I focused more on getting the gambit and strike emblems and doing those while making ritual quest progress on the side. Randy's Throwing Knife you actually need to play with scout rifles, but if you split it up on a day to day basis (3 hours here, 3 hours another day, etc.) the grind will be a lot less painful
The Gambit Scout Rifle "Distant Relation" with the right roll also slaps
Outlaw+exp. payload are really sweet perks for Distant Relation. I've had mine since the end of last year and since then haven't found a better roll.

Edgewise doesn’t have recoil on console like delirium does. It’s basically a pc delirium for console
Ben Dover as a console player, I can confirm that Edgewise is quite easy to control. Don’t have Delirium though, so I’m not sure how they compare.
Exit Strategy: _deals more damage than Recluse, handles better than Recluse, and fills the Kinetic slot without taking an Exotic slot_

This is not a joke post. If your having trouble getting scout rifle kills and want to speed it up. Try Skyburners Oath, the hipfire mode can help if people are rushing. It's a 3 tap to the head. And sometimes the explosive rounds glitch and you get one shot kills. This is how I got Randys

Jason Lu really not hard to do, compared to the 2019 title which was horrible for anyone that hadn’t played for more than 3 months. (Full set of notorious armor, 1 pinnacle weapon for each possible vendor, the full grind for solstice gear, etc.) this seal is quite easy.

Kurumi Tokisaki to me that was the worst gambit weapon to get out of them all. Using a bow in gambit was terrible

It's only the Erentil, and even then hardly. It's pretty good at anything up to 10m or so, which is a shotgun range. Anything beyond is pure RNG.

I just got my Throwing Knife last night, and it's lots of fun! I'm a Scout Rifle player, and have been since D1, and it's nice to finally get a quality Kinetic Scout. The fire cadence and stability make it very forgiving for missing shots. I'll have to run it with Weapons of Light during Banner this week!

"Pinnacle Weapons" have perks no other weapons have. "Ritual Weapons" have god roll perks that every other weapon can get
These are barely godrolls
Rituals are unique archtypes+perk combinations. No kinetic scout with the same frame can roll what randy's has, etc.
Im actually really annoyed though that when bungie "nerfed" recluse for pve, *they didnt even touch it for pvp*
Why? The damage tuning was specifically for PvE across the board. Recluse still puts you in close. Spread out and recluse gets less effective
Even more baffling that they absolutely destroyed Breakneck and Redrix's in PvE for no apparent reason while leaving MT and Recluse practically untouched. It is almost like they don't want people to use unique and interesting pinnacles and just stick with the boring OP stuff everyone is tired of.
During my grind for the Randy’s I used a nightwatch and with weapons of light I could two tap people so overall Randy’s is underwhelming

For anyone wondering, its 14,000 medals for the RTK, if you did great in Iron Banner, youre set for the weapon, but if not, just play Control, and go for multikills/blood for blood medals since theyre the easiest.

Edit: The points needed for Randy’s is 14,000. You gain points by assists, kills, multikills, medals, and matches completed. Gold tier medals, wins, and weapon streaks grant the most efficient progress. Good luck to everyone who is still on the grind.
Watching Datto play PvP as a Titan makes me mad. He’s the guy I hate playing against. One Eyed Mask, Fusion Rifle, destroying me in my super with his super, punching me to death, destroying me with his PvP ritual weapon.

Tbh i really like exit strategy. Opens up my load outs a lot. Love being able to use it and divinity, wendigo,21%, or love and death. I also love loaded question too, its my baby, so running exit strategy, LQ, and an exotic heavy (1k, anarchy, prospector) is great.
Random tips for exit strategy since it's under rated if you like energy exotic : (comment got longer than I thought, sorry in advance)
Do not follow his advice on how to play gambit. It will slow you down and make you mad. Just remember gambit role and you will be fine. When I talk about role in normal gambit, I mean the playstyle, not the bonus from the set.
The sub kill : take two or 3 game max if you play reaper role with a random smg. No problem either normal or prime.
Medal are more frequent on gambit prime. So you should hop in sometime. Will talk about it later. Might get some good weapon as well. (Got an amazing shotgun and sniper from this)
The last part... Play sentry role in both gamemode. If you don't have hush, equip a sniper and a bow to support the team from afar. You will gain more point by sniping invader than banking. And you can always get some motes , but don't get far from the deposit if you are sentry. Your role is to keep it open and make sure collector goes back safely .
15-20 game is enough. Didn't count my number of game, but I'm halfway through my reset to get delirium. And most infamy come from bounty.
Small recommendations for your sanity: start with one character on normal gambit with bounty. When they done switch to gambit prime bounty. Then switch character and redo the process. It will vary the gameplay and how you approach the game. There is 4 roles in gambit , not playing collector doesn't mean you are playing sub efficiency.

Multikills make a huge difference for the Randy's quest, I went from 7 percent to 18 percent in one game on widows court with the blue 260 rpm scout. USE a 260 rpm they are low key insane
Man... this game had persisted for quite some time, I never knew of its existance during those years. Ever since they announced part 2 free to play, that's when I noticed it as well as downloaded it to try it out. Been playing it for a solid 2 weeks with a couple hours of progress and boy did I enjoy myself. I never once paid to play a game but tbh, if I knew about it back when part 1 existed, I definitely would've bought it. Such a fun game with so much adventure, lore, updates, random events, pvp content too. There's probably more to it than I already know and that's part of why I play this game

Exit Strategy is your go to primary for Divinity Builds as its recluse that still lets you equip divinity.
The curse of Osiris kinetic smg is also an adaptive frame smg. Comes with kill clip and has a comfortable recoil.
