- Dans les épreuves au sol, la jeune gymnaste russe Nelli Kim surpassait la célèbre Roumaine Nadia Comaneci pour obtenir la note parfaite de 10. Ce film, réalisé d'après le métrage tourné aux Jeux olympiques de Montréal, en 1976, fait revivre les exploits de ces deux grandes vedettes.

The grace... not so much grace in gymnastics now. I know sport evolves and moves on, but I am nostalgic for this magic that these girls seemed to have. So charismatic and creative.
Evolving and moving on doesn't always make things better. Gymnastics now is nothing but banging around. Every move is bang, bang, bang. There's no joy in watching that.
@@AisforAlibi1 Unfortunately, yes, I do agree with you. However, the positive side is that there is less pressure on girls to be a certain body type. The whole pre-pubescent thing has gone. It's more acrobatics than anything else though, perhaps because of Biles, who leads the field, but is more of an acrobat.

Я помню эту гимнастку,мне 62 года,мой муж служил на Дальнем востоке.По всем новостям передавали новостям,что девочка из Казахстана стала олимпийской чемпионкой.прекрасная гимнастка

Это советская школа гимнастики. Детские спортивные школы были бесплатные. СССР великая была страна. Половина мира держала.

Не бесплатные! Уже разводят и на индивидуалки,хотя при СССР это входило в бесплатное обучение. Были в 3 школах ОР,знаю о чем пишу. Просто противно на все это смотреть, хотя хорошо ,с другой стороны, если ты талантлив, то меньше конкуренции...

На бревне Корбут лучше.Ошибка при приземлении,поэтому вторая.У Нелли хореография выше,поэтому золото.Опорный прыжок безупречный.Благодаря Ким сборная СССР не всухую проиграла

For me it was always Ludmilla Tourischeva. Sheer grace, beauty and talent. Amazing in the '72 games. Gymnastics was different then. Emphasis was more on dance than tumbling.

Aujourd’hui c’est rendu que les gymnastes font plus d’éléments de difficultés surtout a la poutre et au sol. Avant elles montraient de la grâce mais maintenant c’est des saltos arrières vrillés, la roues sans main et etc…

My goodness, Olga Korbut was only 21 during these games but she looked 30! The Soviet machine worked her so hard in the years after Munich.

The good times when the moves were fluid, light and teams kept SILENT during performances, not yelling. The public also was also respectfull. Simple leotards and close bars.
Much agreed! As a former gymnast, I have almost fallen out of love with the sport. Where's the grace, the fluidity? I admire the prowess, the strength accomplished nowadays, but should it all be based on technique? It feels as if it has become a mirror of men's gymnastics, a lot of powerful tumbling and too much skin. Just my two cents.
I agree - watching gymnasts like Olga Korbut and Nadia Comaneci for instance shows how graceful and light but strong and skilled these gymnasts' performances were, there was a beauty and balletic grace with their fluid movements. It seems to have gone the way of tennis where the emphasis seems to be on how hard they can hit the ball (with the exception of Roger Federer who seems to have a natural grace and almost effortless speed and less of the 'grunting' thwacking of the ball) and I think it is demeaned as a result, lacking the grace in favour of the highest tumbling and most twists in the landings etc.

I remember Nelli Kim, she was very good! It must have been so hard mentally be going up against Nadia who was getting tens everywhere and Olga Korbut who was a gymnastics darling Montreal.
Not sure how Nadia Comaneci got a 10 on the uneven bars when she took a hop on the landing.

@@amsapaz27 Elena Mukhina era una de las nuevas revelaciones en aquella epoca ya que en su primera presentacion de alto nivel que fue el campeonato mundial del 78 gano la medalla de oro, inclusive las ezpectativas que habian sobre ella fueron mayores a los de Nadia Comanecci, entonces su entrenador (quien queria hacerse un nombre respetado en el mundillo de la gimnasia) siempre forzaba a Elena al maximo, fue entonces que en las preparaciones para los juegos Olimpicos del 79 mientras practicaba sufrió, (no recuerdo muy bien) una dislocadura de tobillo o rodilla, por lo que la enyesaron y tuvo que dejar las practicas, pero al haber tanta presion por ganar la medalla de oro y por la negligencia de su entrenador le retiraron el yeso muchoa ntes de lo debido, al intentar caminar, Elena estaba mas que segura que algo no iba bien con su lesion por lo que llevaron de emergencia a la sala de operacion, sin embargo el daño ya estuvo hecho dejando cierta mella en su desempeño, y a pesar de ello, de nuevo quisieron reinstaurarla en los entrenamientos por lo que de nuevo, no la dejaron recuperarse del todo de tal operacion, agregale a eso la dieta de perdida de peso extramadamente rigurosa que tuvieron que hacer despues de que gano peso al estar en reposo por las lesiones... fue entonces que ya al estar de nuevo en las practicas su entrenador le digo que en su rutina realizaria The Thomas jump, el salto de Thomas (fue prohibida poco tiempo despues tanto para las mujeres y hombres debido a su complejidad y peligrosidad, buscalo en youtube asi te das una idea) fue entonces que el dia tragico llego, En una de sus practicas tras tratar de realizar una y otra y otra vez el salto de Tomas Elena aterrizo mal provocandose una fractura en su columna vertebral quedando en ese instante cuadriplegica... despues del accidente rondaron muchos rumores al respecto despues de que Elena no se presentara en los juegos olimpicos, fue cuando la prensa investigo mas, pero las personas dentro de la federacion siempre trataban de darle poca importancia a su accidente, asi fue casi olvidada, ya con el tiempo le hacen una entrevista y en ella menciona lo que penso despues de sufrir esa fractura: (no lo rceuerdo bien spero fue algo como) gracias Dios, ya no tendre que ir a los juegos olimpicos.
Uno de los gestos que mas me gustaron fue que uno de los representante de la federacion de gimnastas de los juegos olimpicos decidio darle una medalla de oro aun estando en silla de ruedas, fue un gesto como que si ella no hubiera tenido ese accidente, definitivamente ella hubiera ganado la medalla de oro y bueno eso es lo que recuerdo de ella, espero haberte ayudado

тренер Нелли Ким -- Байдин, .. прекрасный великолепный человек имела возможность заниматься спортом в одном спортивном зале с этим человеком . было у нашей группы несколько тренировок под Его руководством . наша тренер тоже прекрасная женщина отсутствовала и он пару раз заменял её . благодаря таким Людям я до сих пор наверно имею уважение к ближним Такие тренера как великолепный пример добра культуры и порядочности .
Наши девочки прекрасны,но Надя Команечи выглядит гимнасткой из будущего.Раскошная девочка Команечи.Супер.🥇
В 1978 году Румыния в лице Команечи нас так осадили! Наши тренеры тогда получили взбучку, но всё последующее время у нас уже не было такого безусловного лидерства, как раньше.

Exacto, ella tenía una rutina de piso y unos saltos bastante complejos, y en viga y asimétricas era aún maravillosa.
Si, fue muy buena Nelli Kim...pero fíjate que si tenían que envidiarle a la Comaneci Ella y el padre petulante que tenía. Los jueces sabían que Nadia era mejor en esa olimpiada que Nelli.

Las dos están parejas, y si hablamos en teoría, el suelo era el aparato más difícil antes, los movimientos y pies y toda la gracia era inigualable, nelly fue mejor que nadia

Porque te aclaro algo : los aparatos viga de equilibrio y barras asimétricas tienen mayor dificultad incluída en las rutinas. Cierto es que hoy la gimnástica ha perdido toda la gracia en las ejecuciones, es evidente que los elementos acrobáticos son más valorados que lo artístico, con lo cual no estoy muy conforme ( igual que tú al parecer ) ....en fin ambas dos gimnastas fueron estelares. Pero Nadia marcó una nueva era en este deporte. Lo dicen los expertos del deporte, la media, etc.

Eles eram muito exigentes e faziam treinos bem duros. Não atoa que até 1992 eles tinha ótimos desempenhos nos Jogos. Com a indendência a CCCP se enfraqueceu, mas o periodo entre 1970 -1990s foram de glórias a essa nação vermelha. O pai de Nellie(Nelli) era Russo descendente de Koreanos da Sibéria.*

El padre de Nelli Kim es un petulante, acosador e mala persona. Lo conocí muy bien y se creía que era el rey de la gimnástica. Pesao pesao pesao ese tapón de lavaderos.
¿De qué hablas? el papá de Nellie Kim no tiene nada que ver con la gimnasia, para empezar ni siquiera aparece en este documental porque él no viajó a Montreal, él vivía en Kazajistán en esos años. El señor que aparece "regañando" a Kim es su entrenador, Vladimir Baidin. ¿De dónde sacan tantos disparates? ¿Qué ganas con inventar este tipo de historias?
Por cierto, Baidin y su esposa Barkova llevan años viviendo en Almaty, Kazajistán. Dudo mucho que hayas viajado hasta allá solo para ser coacheado en gimnasia artística. Es tan ridículo.
