Lady, you don't need alcohol at your wedding. You don't need it in the food, you don't need it in the cake, you don't even need it to drink. Mature adults will understand that you can celebrate without booze.

Some people want to drink. It's a social lubricant. Unless it's a deeply religious event and everyone is from that background then people will think you're being cheap. I get not having it in the cake because then you're cutting people off from the cake. Put letting people have predinner drinks or a glass of wine with dinner if they choose to do it is just being a good host
She is so rude to the caterers. It was horrifying to watch. The ring scene was terrible too. When I was looking at wedding bands, I found one that I liked, but told my husband to be that it was too expensive. He told me not to worry about that because he wanted to get me the one I wanted. It was less than $2,000. I’m surprised that $2,000 wasn’t enough for her.
I love old jewelry, my mother gave me her wedding ring for my ring. It needed some repairs though. The first place I took it to was a disaster. I explained that it was my mother's ring and I wanted to have it repaired. The jeweler said the diamonds were worthless and the gold was not exactly 14k. I blew up. The 2nd store when I explained it was my mother 's ring they said we can do one thing that cost 50 dollars or 500 dollars. The 50 dollars remade ring looks beautiful 30 years later.

Her mom told me that they were making sure that it stayed watered so the calla lilies would last. I couldn’t help but laugh since they were all artificial. Nobody knew. I even had them used to decorate the cake.
Why is she insisting alcohol in the cake. Whoever want alcohol can have it a drink and have some respect for his family. Why marry into people you have no respect for and know nothing about. I respect my neighbours and colleagues with their believes and culture let alone the person I love and their family
The poor chef looked really annoyed when she was rearranging his food. I felt sorry for him. I wouldn’t have the cheek to do this, after all, it all goes down the same way. I’m sure the guests wouldn’t have noticed how it was plated up.
yes for sure, they planned another wedding, I forgot how much it was but in another episode a couple had a wedding for the same amount and it was so glam in comparison!
Well it is more for the show the wedding planner. It adds intrigue, conflict and another view. The planners are picked for if they are television friendly.
Wedding planners know all that you need to cover for a wedding. You (hopefully) only get married once, so you have to do a lot of research for one day. The planners do this weekly, so they know all the best florists, hair dressers, make up artists, limo rental, venues, etc… and can likely negotiate better prices for you (if you give florists all their jobs, then they might give you a reduction on each job - as an example). They will also know where to get crazy stuff like fireworks, horses, carriages, etc… There are a lot of things you likely forget (like linens for the tables,, for example) … and as they do this multiple times a year they will know all you have to remember.
Because wedding planners do this for a living, they have lots of practice at it. You don't just plan for what will go right, you get a wedding planner for all of the things that will go wrong at the last moment. Your wedding planner will have problem solutions. I thought I wouldn't need a wedding planner b/c I had a small wedding. HA!! The week of, everything started going wrong starting with my Maid of Honor (Kathy) who was supposed to be helping me with everything. Kathy just suddenly said she didn't want to come b/c it was too much work. :O !! Thank heavens I was able to locate an available wedding planner, Jean. Jeannie stepped in and in a matter of a day had everything back on track. I literally felt the weight come off my shoulders and was able to enjoy the process. She was there at the wedding going around wit the photographer she arranged for, and even was there to help me get dressed and do makeup. To this day I bless Jeannie for being my personal saving grace. I can only imagine the mess the whole thing would have ended up being if I hadn't found her.
Why is no one talking about the size of her forehead? And they spent all that money but couldn't afford it at all. It's shameful that your vendors are asking for cash and you have to take it from the box.
Everyone is really dumping on this bride, but I found her to be so much less obnoxious than most of them. She wasn't screaming "it's my day" the whole time.
